The Angels are only 1 game up on the Rangers in the West right now. The White Sox could potentially beat them 2 more times and aid Texas in taking the lead in the division. At that point the Sox would travel to play Texas and could then help the Angels reclaim first place. Directly after that we play the Angels at home, and could again aid Texas in taking back first place.
Its not too often that you get to have such crazy control over a division other than your own.
Nothing important, just kind of a slow day at work and I was looking at the schedule/standings and wondering how often this kind of thing happens (a non-division opponent playing 3 series in a row with a division leader of the same divison).
Thomas went 0 for 2 with an RBI and 2 walks. He is batting .240 now against Minor League pitching. It can be difficult at times to judge this kind of thing because some players just "get swings" durring rehab assignments and actually step it up when they are back with the real club. Then again sometimes it is just proof that a player just isn't all the way back yet.
Which do you think?
