Water Boilin' on the Hot Stove

Finally, some action!

Cleveland today traded Kevin Kouzmanoff and Andrew Brown to San Diego for Josh Barfield.  Barfield doesn't look like particularly great player to me, but he's cheap and will play a league average (or slightly better) second base for the Indians.

Cleveland seems to be tying their wagons to Andy Marte at third base.  His early career was spectacular, but his past 550 ABs or so have been nothing to write home about.

Looks like a decent enough deal for both teams.

Also, the Matsuzaka bidding ends today at 5:00 EST.  Reports are saying that the posting price is going to fall well short of the projected $20-30 million dollar bids.

So, who wins?  The odds on favorite has to be the Yankees, but do you think any other team might jump in at such a low (reported) posting price?
