Treat in Minneapolis

Tooling around the dial tonight, looking for the T'Wolves game and stumbled across Juan Uribe at bat.  Seems that FSN is showing classic Twins games from last season and tonight is the Santana/Garcia gem from August.  You may recall that game as one that the Sox lost 1-0 on a solo homer in the eighth.  Cheat described it as an ESPN instant classic - if the Yankees and Red Sox had been involved.
Yes, the Sox lose this one.  But it was one of the best games of the year.  And a rare (and unexpected) treat in February.
April can't come soon enough.

I read about this on Batgirl today
http://www.bat-girl.com/archives/001360.php

I wouldn't call it a rare treat though, Comcast will be airing three "classic" regular season games in two weeks here in Chicago. (The 13th, 15th, & 17th) -- They are the Dye walkoff game (which was the day after the Timo Walkoff in Frank's return), The Joe Crede Game, and the Clincher in Detroit.

I didn't have much heart to write a recap about the game (gamethread here), but I did include this rather prescient statement.

They will write books about this team. One way or another this team will be remembered for a long time. They are either going to the be the second coming of the hitless wonders, making a postseason run with an offense straight out of the dead ball era; or they are going to be the biggest collapse in baseball history, the '69 Cubs would have nothing on us. It could go either way at this point. (Though I think you have a pretty good idea where I think this one is headed.)
