Relatively reputable sources say that the Cards are in negotiations with the Marlins for Dontrelle Willis. You can read about the supposed offer at Viva el Birdos: apparently it's Reyes, Rasmus, Duncan (the player, not the coach), and a somewhat marginal AA pitching prospect for Willis.
Who knows what's really going on, but I think the Sox could actually beat that package. McCarthy, Fields, Broadway, and another marginal prospect would best the StL offer on my XBox.
Dontrelle's numbers aren't great this year, but it looks like he's available. Any opinions on if the Sox should try and get him if the cost is what the rumor says?
