by james@lifeinthecell on Aug 19, 2006 7:09 PM CDT reply actions
Bartlett is a little better
To be exact, Jason Tyner's OPS in the minors was .725. Punto's? .705. Bartlett, OTOH, was at .782.
What I'm trying to say is, with Punto and Tyner, these are two players who are getting extremely lucky right now. And I really hope that it doesn't continue.
7/26/06
sorry. i hold a grudge.
lemme get a part of that grudge

On top of that, noone showed up for the games and then they wondered why there was talk of contraction. Fair weather bullshit.

I could get used to these 1-2-3 innings
the twins are getting used to it to.
question
twinks are on tv and tiggers are on radio.
couldn't agree more
which makes me realize howmuch the sox have come to rely on thome in the middle of the lineup. now that he's struggling, somebody needs to step up. let's just imagine thome needs a week off or something?
Egh.
by Dongfang Hong on Aug 19, 2006 8:02 PM CDT up reply actions
or at least move him down to 5 or 6
A good way to lose a game
It's not fair, but this one is on Garland. It will take a superlative pitching performace to bring home a win tonight.

by james@lifeinthecell on Aug 19, 2006 8:45 PM CDT reply actions
Agreed
- Screw everyone that said we'd be swept and would have 13-4 Garland lose to 12-8 Radke hands down, no argument.
- I obviously picked a horrible time last night to defend Garcia - IF his reported quotes are accurate he ought to be benched/traded. And if Ozzie defends it he has lost my undying respect.
- As James said, Garland is THE ace.
