Baseball America-Top 10 Prospects by League
Not terribly pleasant reading for Sox fans. They list top 20 per league.
International League: Charlotte
- Ryan Sweeney
- Josh Fields
- Charlie Haeger
Southern League: Birmingham
- Tyler Lumsden (or not)
- Lance Broadway
Carolina League: Winston-Salem
Nobody. In an 8 team league that they claim to be mediocre.
South Atlantic League: Kannapolis
Nobody. 16-team league, and Kannapolis sure did suck.
Appy League: Bristol
16. Justin Edwards
Pioneer League: Great Falls
14. Chris Carter

And a glaring omission it is.
wow, just realized he didn't even make the top 20.
I will check over my issue tomorrow
Nope
The Sally League also has a stupid schedule where many teams don't play each other while others play each other all of the time. It's possible that the scouts and coaches that were willing to talk were not those who saw Kannapolis enough to make a fair judgement (or perhaps they did see him and didn't like him.) The White Sox are generally worthless at providing information, which is why Phil Rogers has to do the team top 10/30 every year.
Cunningham
Erbe is an Orioles prospect -- and thank goodness, cause it's not like the Twins need more pitchers.

From Matt Meyers
I can see why the Kannapolis Intimidators had such a poor season, did any of their prospects even come close to the Top 20 or even Top 30?
A: Matt Meyers: Aaron Cunningham was far and away the best prospect on the team and fits in the 21-30 range. He gets the barrel of the bat through the zone well and can use the whole field. His fringy arm will likely limit him to left field, but his range is above-average there.
