According to the Twins MLB site The Twins have a plan in place for Liriano to pitch in the International League playoffs this coming Saturday. I'm sure the other IL teams love that. He would be on schedule to return to the big leagues and pitch for the Twins Sept. 13th.
Sort of funny, he could end the playoff hopes of the Charlotte Knights and the Sox. That just seems mean.
