SSS Post Season Awards

Come on Kenny, do something...Drums fingers.

In the category for best diary, first nominee is Brush Back for his soul-wrenching "This Season - I'm Tired Rant".  A disturbing journey into the mind of a Sox fan during the darkest days of the Jerry Owens/Angel Gonzalez era in mid-August.

In the category of best game thread, first nominee is Game 69 Sox vs. Cubs @ Wrigley. This game marked Darin Erstad's heroic return off of the DL after his devastating ankle injury. Shame on omnipotentgrab for wishing harm upon him within the first four posts.

SouthSideSox is a community driven site. As such, users are able to express their thoughts and opinions in a FanPost, such as this one, which represents the views of this particular fan, but not necessarily the entire community or SouthSideSox editors.

For best game thread
I'd vote for Game 7: White Sox @ Athletics.

Between the You Tube video kicking things off to the maybe Pods header to end it, this game summed up so very much of the season for me.

That game is still painful
You could just see the turd begin circling the bowl.

OK, bring on the Craigslist chick! Bathe her and bring her to my tent! And keep the Valtrex coming!

I just looked up valtrex
That is very good Ugly, especially the valtrex kicker.  At first I thought it was some viagra/cialis thing.  I can see how the college kid would know about this stuff, but an old man...tsk tsk tsk

It's only advertised on cable
every 30 seconds, Pete.  I prefer the old fashioned penicillin (unless you are allergic or have built up a tolerance doing too many Rusty Trombones).

Valtrex
I had to take it for a week in college.  It wasn't for Herpes, but I had shingles and Valtrex is what is used to treat that as well.
Go Badgers!

Shingles = herpes
Just like chicken pox or canker sores, bro - it's what type of herpes you have that sets you apart on the island.

Genital = Mother Teresa ministering to you on some God-forsaken colonial territory (and the subject of late-night commercials).

Canker sores = Mom and Grandmom giving you smooches.

Are you David Letterman?  He talked about his shingles for a week a few years ago after having to take time off work because of the pain.

Tough break having shingles at such a young age - it doesn't get better with age - it gets worse, from what I read.  But you are correct - it is treatable.

Signed, Dr. Ruth

The Sox should be giving US awards!
For enduring '07 and all its craptacularness.  To have 2-part game threads during that mess says either we're sick, or perhaps we're the real grinders!

Though the thought of Liz on her wedding night almost made it worthwhile: "Liz, why can't I hear the stereo when I'm down here"?
Poor guy; should roll her in flour and look for the wet spots.

It should be called Bill Veeck Park!

don't we need
Best Poster, Best Poster in a Supporting Role, Best Chart, Best Poll, Best Foreign Poster, Best Young Poster, Lifetime Posting Award, Best Troll, Worst Poster, Worst Diary, so on?

How about "Oldest Poster"?
It should be called Bill Veeck Park!

That would be called
Lifetime Posting Achievement Award.

Choreography?
Cinematography?  Best original script (Ozzie wins, hands down)?
