MLB 2K7
I'm one of the younger guys here and just went and picked up my copy of the new baseball game for xbox 360 and am in love.
I love my great outfield of Sweeney, Anderson and Dye. I also got Fields on the bench and dropped Mackowiak since they're rated the same. I wish they had Danks on there but i guess i'll stick with Gavin Floyd.
Now i have my perfect team. I might have to try and make a trade for Crawford or Baldelli.

I like it
Agreed...

however
one more question
There are leagues but no franchises
And I do agree that the outfielders tend to be superstars when it comes to making tough catches, just adjust the slider for their range or reaction or whatever down a bit and it'll be a little easier to deal with. (they do tend to scale the wall a little too often, but again...its all about getting your sliders where you want them).

I've got a Wii
Nope...

Be honest...
I've got 8
Doesn't look like it...
These two games may be your only choices for this year:
"Wii Baseball"
or
2KSports' "The Bigs"
Neither game appears to be a true simulated MLB experience.
Dye is my hero
Bitterness.
Best move I can remember...
There HAVE been better games made, but the XBox live support and the (hopeful) roster updates that can be provided through that are huge. And if you really want to own a next gen baseball game, this is totally worth the money.
I've been playing since about 7am this morning (blame it on my first day off work in over a month) and am getting really into the game the more used to it I get.

gotta have baseball
I'm a little mad with Las Vegas
Keith, you too!
I love the MP in Vegas but the story is ok, I guess it might be the best SP R6 game, but that isn't saying much. I haven't finished it either.
The one 360 game that I have and never could get into is Dead Rising, anyone want to buy it from me or make a trade?
Traded my copy of Dead Rising in...

Dead Rising = fun game but it gets old very fast.
got bored with it too
I'll hop on XBox live
But I won't be there till my Spring Break, which is a week from this Friday. When playing College Hoops 2k7 online (love that game), I got lots of complaints that my connection was slow. Damn Marquette internet... you figure 35 grand a year would buy a nice internet connection.
Buy the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter...
By the way... BUY MLB 2K7!!! It's pretty sweet.
For all the XBox live guys
Lately it's been all sports all the time...
NBA Street, College Hoops, NCAA Football (loooove college football games, and now MLB 2k7.

hmm... can we get some quantified ratings up?

I'm a big fan
The game library is large enough now that there are quite a few great games.
We should have a SSS MLB 2k7 tourney.
Count me in...
As for the 360? I wasn't a huge fan of the original XBox (more of a PS2 guy) but when price info was released for the next-gen consoles I considered it a huge slap in the face that Sony would price the PS3 so high.
I decided to buy a 360 (based a lot on shaftr's raving about how great it is) and am just in love with the console. My one complaint is the way that a lot of game makers are starting to view downloads as a new way to make money. If I pay $60 for a game, I shouldn't have to go online to download locked content, and beyond that I absolutely shouldn't have to pay for it. But that's no fault of the console.
Buy a 360 though, it's worth it.

360

I'd do either
by Brent Brookhouse on Mar 1, 2007 11:50 AM CST up reply actions
don't matter to me
you can do anything from 8 - 30 players...
I think 162 is a bit more than anyone would be up for realistically...but depending on how many people are into playing it could be fun.
But even just doing a few SSS tourneys would be fun.

I love my 360
I'll probably pick up MLB2k7 in the near future. I have some Best Buy giftcards to spend. I also can't wait for Guitar Hero 2 and Forza Motorsport 2 to come out.
Gamertag is the wimperoo. I'm not on that often and when I am I'm usually playing my Bears Franchise on Madden. I wish I was back in college so I could sit around and play video games all day.
yes indeed
I work oncall from home a lot...

Xbox Wireless Controllers are great.
Umm . . .
bad thing
One thing that ticks me off about MLB 2K7...
Couple of questions...
Also, what ratings do they have? Is their one for 'potential', ie for younger players? That's big for me.
In franchise mode, is their minor leagues? Are the contracts decent? I heard that they finally got the money right, but if you call up a young player, do you control him for six years before he's a FA?
