Normally, when I post excerpts of articles here it's quotes from players or coaches. I try to trim out the reporter's viewpoint and insert my own. But there's only so many ways you can link say "look at the back of a baseball card" or "this team has loads of talent," and none of them are interesting anymore, not that they were incredibly entertaining in the first place.
But you can still go the Trib's online sports section today and read Rob Mackowiak saying something about "staying positive," and Brandon McCarthy (You may remember him. He used to play for a good version of the White Sox) admiring the Sox "talent," which may be because he's exiled on one of two AL teams with a worse record than the Sox, and Don Cooper being "disappointed" and calling Mike North a "[Goof]," if that's your idea of entertainment. I'm still trying to come up with a caption for Kenny Williams' Flight of the Navigator reenactment.
