Please - no more cast offs
Why do we keep discussing cast offs, marginal players with little upside, players that have history of injuries as replacements? The team is beyond patches for this season. Even if we do make some repairs to make the record somewhat respectable (on paper), it does nothing going forward. I'm not saying I have the answers, and some of you guys produce incredible stats and have great ideas. I'm only saying this team is in a rebuilding stage now. We need to assemble a combination of youth with some veteran experience. Unfortunately its going to cost - and I just don't mean money. We may have to give up some favorites to assemble something for next year and beyond. We may also have to become worse before better. I'd rather see the "worse" this year, then for the next several. Lastly we have to accept, as fans, we over-value our players compared to what other teams think of them. So those trades we'd love to have - we won't ever see.
All I'm saying is lets stay positive, ignore the cast offs such Bradley, and accept this season for what it is, but at the same time look at what can be done to make it more exciting and competitive for next year and beyond.
(Sorry - was starting to get bummed on some of the quick patch ideas - which would be fine if we were still competing this year - I'm just trying to see exciting ideas that are not lets get this guy he was just released or sent to the minors

In response to the BraDLey issue...
It was time to stop thinking about competing for this season about 3 weeks ago, if you ask me, and it's time for all the youngin's to step in for the old fogies. That means Dye, Pods, Erstad, Mack, Uribe - POOF! - Gone. Sweeney, Anderson (when healthy), Terrero, Richar (as much as I hate to mention him, but it's now or never for him) and whoever else you want, starting.
I'd love to see a 2006 Marlins or a 2006-2007 D-Rays.
Obviously, however, with less talent, but you get the idea. the Youth Movement, I will call it.
