Did anyone catch the retarded analysis made on baseball tonight last night?
When attempting to answer the question of why the white sox are sucking so much, they determined that it was not the awful hitting, or even the 8+ era bullpen that was the true culprit, but rather the starting pitching. Apparently, we have no "ace" on our team and our starters are never putting us in a situation to win.
They then proceeded to compare us to the red sox - who have 3 "aces" (schilling, matsuzaka, beckett) and the quality of their starting pitching has been the big difference between the success of the red sox and the failure of the white sox.
Well, I computed the starter ERA through 6/25 and unbelievably, the white sox starter ERA is better than the red sox ERA (4.05 to 4.07).
More evidence that ESPN is just that dumb.
