After all, our AAAA bullpen awaits.
5 might not be enough

ohoh, Brett Prinz
Hmmm...
First time I've benched him all year.
Hey, it is still the Yankees.
maybe Garland monitors SSS too...
fortunately, I started Garland in my fantasy this week. Unfortunately, I also started him last week.
fantasy...
Who's the best starter on the Sox right now?
by james@lifeinthecell on Jun 4, 2007 8:50 PM CDT reply actions
Our starters are SAINTS!
I think Garland still is...
His WHIP is near 1.10, last I checked.

Buehrle is the popular choice
Buehrle obviously has better stuff, and can miss some bats, but Garland is really damn good at not giving up the long ball and inducing grounders.
After Garland's great second-half last year, how great would it be if he had a similar second-half this year? He'd be in the AL Cy Young discussions along with Haren, Bonderman, and of course, Johan.

Does anyone really care about this season...
Our bullpen is trash and even if we start hitting like this more often, we still aren't going anywhere.
i guess that's what to expect

IMO, the bullpen problem,
Thornton looked tentative last night, the last of the crew. Just as that mindset has creeped one by one (not Jenks) into each reliever's psyche, I think one by one it will disappear.
I believe that and I obviously hope that is the case. Only time will tell.
MacD
...
Aardsma, Thornton, Sisco, Massett, these kids are just young, and fairly inexperienced. Whether they have deep down mechanics issues, like MacD probably has, psychological issues, or just plain aren't good, isn't going to be fixed in a jiffy.
These kinds of things are going to take a while to work out.

Everyone in our bullpen is wild...
AS CRAPPY AS WE'VE PLAYED,
I know if my father had....., he'd be my mother.
But I find the above mindboggling, considering how crappy overall we've played.
White Sox make huge trade
Yes, the same glorious Tomas Perez who beat the Sox in his first ever plate appearance back in 1995.

Only three runs from the bullpen, eh?

Well...
And if Thornton and Jenks can't be counted on to hold a 5-run lead through two outs, then whether they won or lost yesterday REALLY didn't matter, as they have much bigger fish to fry.
