Remember this place
As the season fades - some memories for the old timers
Just thought this deserved its own area for a while. Truly brought back some old memories.
So as Harry used to say - Falstaff and the White Sox, a great combination.

Nice.
Great memories. I have it in my will to have my ashes strewn on the old Comiskey site. (Yeah, I know it's a parking lot, but that seems perfect.)

I love the new park...
I noted that the most expensive seat in the house was $8.50. I pay more than that to attend a Kane County Cougars game these days. If memory serves (and it's failing by the minute), I believe none of the outfield seats were reserved, so if you got there early (i.e., to see ALL of batting practice), you got to sit in the front row for the game.
What the hell were those giant speakers (pointing toward the field) in center field for? Perhaps we could ask Kenny to install such a system at Comiskey II to help direct inept fielders toward the ball - "Pods! A little more to the left! No, no, back, back! There you go, good job!"
Thanks for the memories.
