From the Metsgeek - Winner/Losers (Sox)

Here's the summary of the AL as per the Metsgeek site. While you might, or might not agree, with his summary of the AL - it does make something to read in this very dull period of nothing going on. (Unless you want to keep reading about how the Yankees are, or are not, negotiating for Santana)

someone saying the sox were losers because they missed out on FA's, overpayed for linebrink, signed uribe, and traded for o-cab....

Good times

I like how the Sox don't deserve to have won in 2005 because they are making bad moves now. I await the NL winner/losers so I can see a review of Minaya's abysmal Milledge trade and a sober assessment of how the Mets overvaluing of Humber and Pelfrey has led them to not acquire the starter they really need. It's unfair, but the Mets bad moves are actually worse than the Sox (stay with me here) -- a bad move or lack of a move by the Mets moves them farther from the playoffs which are so tantalizing close.

hahahah
i forgot to comment on that part about not deserving  a WS in 2005.... what a joke.  and yes, i agree, if theyd ever get over drooling about humber and pelfry and acquire a solid SP, theyd be looking at the playoffs/WS for sure.

The Mets left side of the infield
is without a doubt the best in baseball, but their right side of the infield is not very young at all. (Castillo, 33. Delgado, 36).
"God knows I gave my best in baseball at all times and no man on earth can truthfully judge me otherwise."

Mets fans completely overrate Pelfrey
Up to this point Pelfrey just hasn't been that great.  His numbers were terrible last year, and he was a 23 year old repeating the league -- K/9 under 7.00, K/BB ratio of just barely 2.0, a non-spectacular WHIP...  he's just not very impressive and, to be quite frank, he's probably worse than both of our young #4-5 starters (not to mention Egbert).

But enough Met bashing for me -- I'll let the whack-ass Milledge trade play out and that should be painful enough for Mets' rooters.
