The Playoff Plan
This year was a very interesting year. We traded for a future hall of famer(Ken Griffey jr.). We pulled out a division championship. I was reading some other peoples own fanposts, and they said that we should get rid of Ken Griffey, DeWayne Wise, and Carrasco. First of all, Wise was their when our outfield needed help. He also hit a monster homer against the Rays in the ALDS. Now, Get rid of Ken Griffey? Why would we do this when he can hit, field, and play all the outfield posititions and first base. The Sox just need a little more bullpen help. Horacio Ramirez was a horrible acquisiton. We should sign at least one of the free agent relief pitchers on the market. I like Scott Eyre, LaTroy Hawkins, and Kyle Farnsworth. All these people had ok seasons. A closer the Sox could sign would be, Brian Fuentes or Jason Insringhausen. Insringhausen might be kind of cheap because he had a down season. The Sox could also trade for Kevin Gregg. Other people are saying we should sign or trade for one more outfielder. I don't think we need to, but the Marlins are going to have Jeremy Hermidia on the bench because of Cameron Maybin coming in to play center and Cody Ross going to play Right Field. We might be able to get Kevin Gregg and Jeremy Hermidia for cheap. Many people say we should hand over the starting job of third base right over to Josh Fields. I disagree. He is inexpierianced. Joe Crede is always getting injured, so i think we should sign Casey Blake. He might hit better against the Indians that traded him away. Also he is a good hitter in the playoffs. Also release Juan Uribe, Orlando Cabrera and sign Mark Gruzielanek. Ok, this is my opening day 25 man roster.

i have no desire to see this make the rec'd fanposts area
just wow
The movement was so devastating that television announcer Hawk Harrelson called it "the Doomerang," saying that if Day had enough distance to work with, the pitch would eventually come back to him.
I wish I could double or triple rec so that others may marvel at the posters stupidity.

Also
Cabrera is a free agent therefore cannot be released unless you are suggesting we sign him, then cut him
I do believe this trumps larry's plan.
Cogent, insightful, breathtakingly seamless, comprehensive, efficient. Yes, da313, you are GM material.
I think i did this wrong. Oh well…..delete my votes as they all suck anyway.

i think it's a great cost cutting move to just go with contreras from day 1.
i mean, why pay someone else to be on the roster while he rehabs for the half the season?

I didn’t even realize he got rid of Brian Anderson for a 15 million dollar KGJr. Jesus.

upon first glance
i count 19 things wrong with this post. can anyone else spot them all, or perhaps find more? i’ll get you started with #1- the title of the post.
brian anderson would've caught that...
are you trying to hurt us?
too dangerous to read this thing and actually think about it for the extended period your question requires. this is one of those situations where no man should spend more than 5 seconds on this every two hours lest their head explodes.
however, i propose each poster simply lists one thing wrong, just like you did.
- - no matt thornton.

Cashing checks and having sex.
i object to this one
he never said that GS did any of those things well. he does hit (ok when healthy), field (occassionally catches a ball), play all the outfield positions and first base (i think he has appeared at all those).

Matt Thornton is in the minors? If were trying that hard to win in Charlotte, why not just put Q! down there too?

Wouldn't mind Fuentes?
10 million a year for a guy to be your third or fourth pitcher out of the pen behind Thornton (who regardless what DaSox says will not be in the minors), Jenks and maybe even a healthy Linebrink or Dotel.
Seems reasonable.

its not the ex-cubs factor that bothers me
its the not very good pitchers factor that does
The movement was so devastating that television announcer Hawk Harrelson called it "the Doomerang," saying that if Day had enough distance to work with, the pitch would eventually come back to him.
is it possible that a correlation exists between them being ex-cubs and not very good pitchers?
