I'm actually curious to see if Gonzales is right...
though didn’t we just fire most of our minor league managers a few weeks ago?
indeed.

I'm pretty sure I saw that Saburo (or whatever)
already landed a managerial job in another org…
If it’s just coaching changes, we’re not really talking about much change though. Minor league managers, for the most part, don’t have a whole lot of effect (at least on the macro-level). They may influence a player here or there, but for the most part they are button pushers who are looking to work their way up the chain to the majors.
If we’re talking front-office minor league staff, then we’re talking about a changeup. Because then you’re talking about a change in organzational philosophy. I imagine it’s the latter, as we need some more international help, obviously.

Likewise. I'd imagine it'll be a shift in philosophy.
Though I am encouraged with some aspects of the last two drafts. Poreda, Nevin (when on the mound), Beckham, Danks, Carter, Ely (to a lesser extent), even O’neil, despite his poor-ish debut.
Not an excellent class but there seems to be a different philosophy in that regard.

A different philosophy?
Like drafting high upside guys who we might have to give a larger signing bonus to?
Fucking Joe Borchard and his 5.3 million dollar bonus set back out draft philosophy 7 years.
I am going to ask you one time, and i'm gonna ask you nice. Where the fuck is Ringo bitch.
Too true, but it did net us Gavin.

Poreda, Beckham, Danks and Carter

nothing gets ‘em wetter than infrequent postings on the city’s second favorite team
its getting there
The movement was so devastating that television announcer Hawk Harrelson called it "the Doomerang," saying that if Day had enough distance to work with, the pitch would eventually come back to him.
