I thought I'd take this opportunity to test the FanShots feature by posting an image of the baddest Sox player ever.

True that...
I've never seen anybody before or since who seemed to be playing at one level and everyone else on the field that night was playing at some other lesser level.
In particular I remember being at Old Comiskey on a hot Friday night when the Oakland A's were winning 3 WS in a row (Reggie Jackson, Bert Campaneris, etc.) and Dick Allen just seemed to do whatever he wanted to (even better than Juan Uribe when "he carries the team" - sarcasm intended) with all of his tools (hit for average, hit for power, steal a base, take the extra base, and play some clean defense).

Goddamn, I love that guy
His 1972 season is one of the best of all time. I loved watching him play. When I was in fantasy camp a couple of he guys who played with him said the same thing.
Hey man, this game is a bunch of frontrunners. If you're good, they kiss your butt. If not, you're horse s---.''
