based upon what they're measuring
it makes perfect sense.

Interesting - supposedly Ozzie's strength is his ability
to pull out wins he's not supposed to, and his weakness is not winning the close ones (or at least not bringing any value to close games). So with all the 1-run wins in '05, is the assumption that the Sox won in spite of Ozzie?
I took the "under".
sometimes you get lucky, no?
every dog has his season?
speaking generally, and not getting too deep into ozzie's specific involvement/noninvolvement in them, the 2005 team was so good generally and so good specifically in close games because it had a fantastic bullpen and excellent defense. meaning, of course, coupled with the excellent starting pitching, they were simply stingy in giving up runs.
specifically, the bullpen can be chalked up to ozzie, in part, because he really did a pretty good job in going from shingo to hermie to jenks and also in using his "hot" relievers, cotts and politte, in the high leverage situations.

hard to measure this
I agree with Gardinhire as the best manager, but Mike Scisca tied with Joe Madden? I have a world of respect for what Sciosia does and he may be the best. I'll take him over Ozzie.
Cheat, how were you able to link it
