As one who squarely falls into the pessimistic end of the spectrum re the Sox chances this year, I'd suggest that the optimists read this article. The usual argument from the optimists goes along the lines of, "you guys on SSS are all so negative". Well, sorry, that's not an argument. The negative side has plenty of ammunition to back up our positions. If you're going to argue that there's cause for optimism, back it up with something. Trust me, with the season starting today I'd love to hear about some tangible reason above and beyond pure hope to think this team will accomplish something. Go Sox!
