Usual lineup tonight...

except that Ozuna’s playing third instead of Crede.

by The Jerry Royster Experience on Apr 18, 2008 5:08 PM CDT   0 recs

Cheat likes Niemann

He wanted to acquire him so he could be groomed to take over the closers role when Bobby Jenks loses his effectiveness.

No he was hurt

All Rice pitchers get hurt. I don’t remember what it was anymore, shoulder, I think.

major leaguers don't play all 162 games?

unless they’re orlando cabrera, of course.

somewhere in baseball purgatory, jerry owens loudly whines.

by larry on Apr 18, 2008 5:22 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

That Rays lineup...

is really good 1-6. Not so good after that.

by The Jerry Royster Experience on Apr 18, 2008 5:22 PM CDT   0 recs

Eric Hinske puts the fear of God in you, eh?

dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.

by colintj on Apr 18, 2008 5:24 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Uribe at third

and Alexei at second would have been better

by gamara21 on Apr 18, 2008 5:25 PM CDT   0 recs

major league broadcasters don't do all 162 games?

unless they’re ed farmer, of course.

Out-underacheiving the other guy.

Ozzie loves Pablo

and when Ozzie loves you you stay.

by floridajim on Apr 18, 2008 6:15 PM CDT   0 recs

Doesn't every team have a Pablo Ozuna?

I don’t understand complaining about him. They play 162 games. Occasionally people who don’t make the All-Star Game have to play.

Out-underacheiving the other guy.

by defensive indifference on Apr 18, 2008 6:18 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

The thing is

We have better bench players who could be starting instead of Ozuna.

by Grinder in Training on Apr 18, 2008 6:21 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Agreed.

And the last thing we need is Pablo trying to do too much (like cutting off your shortstop) while trying to get noticed.

by swishit on Apr 18, 2008 6:27 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

But...

The Sox have better back ups at basically every position.

by parkermo on Apr 18, 2008 6:21 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Including third base?

Out-underacheiving the other guy.

by defensive indifference on Apr 18, 2008 6:30 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Josh Fields?

Hell, I’d even take Uribe.

by parkermo on Apr 18, 2008 6:33 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

You can't get in the game while you're in the minors.

Pablo’s probably more useful as a 25th man than Fields would be.

Out-underacheiving the other guy.

by defensive indifference on Apr 18, 2008 6:35 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Yeah, that was my point.

Pablo should not be on this team. Uribe can handle 2nd and 3rd better than him. Anderson can handle all the outfield positions, and it looks like Alexei can too. And for short its Alexei and Juan. I don’t even believe Pablo has any versatility, he looked like dog shit at 2nd when he got the start. I would rather have Fields on the team, just to keep Ozuna off the field.

by parkermo on Apr 18, 2008 6:38 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Eh.

I just don’t see how Crede and Fields fit on the same team.

Out-underacheiving the other guy.

by defensive indifference on Apr 18, 2008 6:45 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

IT doesn't matter

Uribe goes to 3rd, Alexei plays 2B problem solved, no Pablo Ozuna.

by Grinder in Training on Apr 18, 2008 6:50 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

he's being paid and the marginal difference is basically nil

dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.

by colintj on Apr 18, 2008 6:53 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Thank you.

I was tired of arguing about the 25th man.

Rocco Baldetti

“they called me Mr. Glass!”

by thecip on Apr 18, 2008 6:38 PM CDT   0 recs

Bullshit call

That guy leaned out into that ball

by swishit on Apr 18, 2008 6:43 PM CDT   0 recs

that's

fucking horseshit, to put it mildy.

by madvillian on Apr 18, 2008 6:44 PM CDT   0 recs

The Tampa announcers

agree he leaned into the curveball. Not that it matters, they still have 2 on.

by floridajim on Apr 18, 2008 6:44 PM CDT   0 recs

That's okay

We’ll just get a DP up the middle now.

by swishit on Apr 18, 2008 6:44 PM CDT   0 recs

That was really egregious

I thought it looked like a strike if it broke a little more

by parkermo on Apr 18, 2008 6:45 PM CDT   0 recs

Hopefully Javy will drill him the next time.

If it’s a good situation for it.

Where were you on that one, field general?

by Sox Machine on Apr 18, 2008 6:45 PM CDT   0 recs

nope

3 on.
Shit.

by swishit on Apr 18, 2008 6:45 PM CDT   0 recs

Orlando Cabrera

Continues.. to be garbage. but Ozuna shouldn’t be at third anyways.

by Grinder in Training on Apr 18, 2008 6:45 PM CDT   0 recs

no

that’s AJ’s fault. He’s gotta throw the ball.

by madvillian on Apr 18, 2008 6:46 PM CDT   0 recs

that doesn't mean AJ

Should just throw it to no one b/c it’s a long way to cover.

by Grinder in Training on Apr 18, 2008 6:47 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

So..

You say it’s AJ’s fault for not throwing the ball. Then you also excuse OC for not being at third base. Now.. if OC isn’t at third, who is AJ supposed to be throwing the ball to?

by Grinder in Training on Apr 18, 2008 6:49 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I thought Ozzie covered these small things

in spring training? It didn’t take apparently.

by floridajim on Apr 18, 2008 6:46 PM CDT   0 recs

Free outs!

Take them.

Out-underacheiving the other guy.

by madvillian on Apr 18, 2008 6:57 PM CDT   0 recs

Hate to say it

But that wouldn’t have been a bad time to bunt.

by Sox Machine on Apr 18, 2008 6:59 PM CDT   0 recs

Time for Thomer

to snap out of it

by swishit on Apr 18, 2008 7:01 PM CDT   0 recs

by floridajim on Apr 18, 2008 7:01 PM CDT   0 recs

Off the catwalk! Off the catwalk!

Thome’s blasting the ball off the catwalk.

by Sox Machine on Apr 18, 2008 7:01 PM CDT   0 recs
