So wiz
maybe yesterday’s mistake was not a mistake, and you are a soothsayer….
haha!
:p
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
Let's tack on a couple of W's today...
we are already on pace for 92 :)
Random trade idea....
When Ty Wigginton returns for Houston I’d like to see KW make a deal for Mark Loretta.
Big game for Danks, Sox
if they don’t pick this one up, they’ve lost 3 of the last 4 and 5 of the last 7 and are sending Masset and Count to the mound stop the streak…
Granted Masset is facing off against a similar, non-MLB caliber pitcher, but they’ve gotta show up in this early game so the weekend doesn’t get really ugly

Swisher breaks bat
Thanks for getting this video I heard the game but didn’t see the bat break. Odd happening wasn’t it.
Chalk up yet another pathetic AB by Paulie....
I’m more and more convinced that despite some of the nice moves KW made in the off-season he his not going to be able to overcome his refusal to move Konerko. Sure, the package offered may not have been exactly what he wanted but more realistically I think White Sox ticket people had their say as well…..
Hawk saids Konerko is on pace to get 140 rbi's.
Then Quentin should get 200. Paulie got 4 of those on a grand slam against Rogers, when Rogers looked like shit! Bat Paulie 7th or 8th. Ozzie your pissin away games waiting for him and the warm weather.
Well, I hope....
there are a few more people in the stadium when I go tonight. I imagine there will be.
gonna out-engery a lot of guys, simply by over-attituding them.

Alexei displaying his out-making abilities
Grounds into a DP, which Q breaks up with a hard slide. Two pitches later he’s picked off trying to steal second.

Hurts even more when you just want to turn the lineup over as fast as possible....
now we have a B3 with Uribe/Hall setting the table.
Two NL #9 hitters today are better than ours this afternoon.....
I’ll take bats’ of Owings and Zambrano all day over Toby.
He's due, right?
It’s about time he did SOMETHING for this team.

You don't want to play the Sox at the The Cell
on Saturday afternoons in ‘08. You just might run into a dominating start….
Danks
I am loving Danks’ efficiency. 35 pitches through 3 innings. How does he look? I can’t watch the game today.
time to bring up jo

Stats Question
Is there someplace on the net that I can find a breakdown of what percent of a pitcher’s outs are pop ups? I noticed that Danks is giving up a lot of fly balls today, but a lot of them are infield pop ups. I was wondering if that a trend or if its just today
bitch!

go after ron washington maybe?
he’s about to get canned

How many times is that...
that a Sox pitcher has carried a no-hitter past the halfway point this season?
Three? Four?

They need to stop.
Unless they’re gonna go all the way.

dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
No, it was my friend.
Who called to tell me he couldn’t leave until they got a hit. Next batter got a hit.

Dammit...
Danks spending too much time worrying about the baserunner and not enough about the task at hand.
This is what comes of having a complete black hole at backup catcher.

Yep
If they knew Buehrle was gonna be starting the nightcap he should have been joined by hall
AIM: SouthSideCheat
The Sox shouldn't have to...
made adjustments for the ineptitude of Toby Hall.
I don’t even care about Hall’s bat – if a backup catcher could hit, he wouldn’t be the backup.
Just someone who can catch a decent game and throw a little bit would be nice. Is that really so much to ask?
Someone should really introduce Ken Williams to the concept of “sunk costs”.

let's get both

have we ever faced bures?
he’s a lefty too…

So we've got 4 innings to score 3 runs...
Unfortunately…
Uribe, Hall, and Ramirez, make it more like 2 innings.

What is it...
with this team and anonymous lefties? No matter how much they shake up the lineup, the result always seems to be the same.

Ozzie playing for the split, also.
Pitching and defense.
I'm getting some major issues w/ the site here on my end
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some downtime in the very near future

too much draft traffic on the football blogs?

Too bad...because if we had a "normal" offense...
JD would have left with a 4-2 or 5-2 lead.
Take a picture.
MacDougal 6 pitches, 5 strikes.
Pitching and defense.
Now you see it.
Now you don’t.
Pitching and defense.
Thank god we have that tin head up here walking people and lighting fires
Instead of Wasserman.

Hawk: “For the most part, MacDougal has turned into a breaking ball pitcher.”
He’s also turned into a terrible pitcher… Perhaps those two are related.
Wasserman must really suck if this douchbag still has options left, and he’s here over him…
AIM: SouthSideCheat
He must really suck...
if not only do they hold onto MacDougal, but they give $30 million to Dotel and Linebrink.

Miami is on the clock
and selects Jake Long of Michigan. Oh, we knew that didn’t we. Who will the Bears get?
Like the Yankee win on Thursday....
this potentially could be another resemblance of 07…or perhaps another reason to start believing….
DJ's breaking out the "credit where credit is due line"
so, yeah, they’re in ‘07 form

Dead weight=Paul Konerko
signed 5-year deal worth 60M thru 2010 season on 11/3/0/05- + he receives a 12M salary each year in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010- + he receives a limited NO-TRADE clause that allows him to specify six teams to which he cannot be traded to without his written consent
The Sox came into today 12-9
in 2007 they were 12-11 in April, if we get moving 2007 will loom much larger in our sites after a nice start.
Hall just wound up with that throw
Cant he go on the 60 day DL>

Alright, time for some positive thinking
The way the bullpen is throwing, it could easily be 4-0 or 5-0. This game is easily within reach.
Joist
Rah. Rah. Rah. Rah. Rah. Rah. Rah. Rah.
Pitching and defense.
Why aren't the Os walking anyone aiding our OBP?
Pitching and defense.
That didn't take long
The Sox are not looking very good today, so far.
"Cold, windy, tough pitcher (reminds me of Johan).
Not sure why we even played the game.”
Pitching and defense.
It just takes
two men on and a long one and…you can put it on the board. We can come back. Let’s see if we can will this team into victory.
4 BBs and a long one and we're tied.
Pitching and defense.
Octavio Dotel...
money well, well spent.

Time to fire Greg Walker...
When one or two guys are slumping, that’s a slight problem, but when the WHOLE GOD DAMN TEAM is struggling there’s a bigger problem. This is second damn year we are going through this, and I don’t want to wait till the end of the year for changes. They need to make them, and make them now….Please Jerry, please Kenny…FIRE GREG WALKER NOW!
Wow
I can’t imagine Greg Walker making it to Memorial Day after the stretch of games the Sox have been going through. I am getting sick of ~9 pitch innings from just about every portion of the lineup.
Sadly, the O’s are likely going to put on another run against Dotel…. too late.
He's getting older...
and he’s just not as good any more?
by The Jerry Royster Experience on Apr 26, 2008 2:25 PM CDT up reply actions
konerko
he has 0 range so he can’t afford to make these errors/miscues out there. I think that’s the 3rd or 4th this season.
Really...
the Sox should just start conceding second base. They’d probably have more success that way.
by The Jerry Royster Experience on Apr 26, 2008 2:25 PM CDT reply actions
That's it...
Dotel has officially passed Orlando Cabrera as my least favorite current White Sox player.

Was Toby Hall walking?
Because the distance he was out was like he was waiting around at first to see if that groundball could have been caught in the air.
One guy in the lineup batting over .250.
Pitching and defense.
Thanks Paulie
for those 2 errors in the 9th, those really helped out.

Lowest Batting average in American League and 3rd worst OBP
all numbers are dropping fast and Swisher is dieing. Still in first place in Central Division .
