extra inningbs?
that some kind of freudian slip, Wiz?
dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
yes
after I typed I saw the extra b in red, but then I saw it before the b, bs, and left it!
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
supposedly, it only takes one

that's what DJ said

So,
We are apparently very well matched against the Orioles. That can be thought of as either a good thing or a bad thing…
Steve Stone's great
“With Adam Jones, you have to be really careful with the fastball.” And then he doubles first pitch.
Never trust a big butt and a smile.
Sox Machine
Fahey hit a slow roller to short
and with the field conditions, OC just couldn’t play it to first. But Jones took a wide swing around third, and Cabrera got it to Crede who applied the tag.

I like that Sherrill
is a lefty. If they’re bringing him in, I think I like CQ and Joe against him.

Cabrera did a similar thing last week.
Pitching and defense.
Q! seeing the ball really well.
Pitching and defense.
Double to right center gap.
Pitching and defense.
Q! Q! Q! Q! Q! Q!

Joe Crede
In a game winning situation, nothing new.

BA
Looks like a real baseball player at the plate today. Taking bad pitches.
by Grinder in Training on Apr 28, 2008 6:15 PM CDT reply actions
Well, they could if they did it with regularity
but to try it with BA who NEVER bunts….
Ugh….
without him in '06 the sox would have won at least 110 games!
Blood has been shed, Jerry.

Other than Thome, his team quit on him in the second half of 06.
In 07 his middle reliefers and hitters sucked. But i do think a manager affects player confidence and probably 10-15 close games.
does not playing well always mean quitting to you?
Blood has been shed, Jerry.

No, its just in the latter part of 06 they had a great chance
to beat Detroit at the time at home. Thome responded, others did’nt much of anything. Its harsh i know to say they quit. But when the opportunity was there they hardly put up a fight.
Don't get me wrong, i think Konerko's and Dye are class acts. I just get frustrated , not seeing
a more potent attack from the middle of the lineup. They had a good start, I just don’t want to see them fall into some old 07 patterns.
why? why? why?
you suck ozzie
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
ozzie
is an idiot.
the hit & run in the 6th when Cabrera cant hit the strike zone.
the squeeze right there.
bullshit
Floyd for President
That's a great way
To get a guy who is finally playing well to lose his confidence.

How many Ozzie Gaffes™ is that today?
dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
2.5 that I can think of
this one, the hit and run with ocab when cabrera wasn’t around the plate, and half a gaffe for bringing in jenks to face roberts. that one isn’t indefensible.
i'm still upset
That is just ridiculous. Does Ozzie realize that a deep fly or a hit would win the game? There was only 1 out. What is our % of wining the game with 1 out and a runner on 3rd?
I'm not upset
I’m PISSSED!!!
AND JUST IMAGINE HOW JAVY FEELS?
yet again ozzie takes the pressure of their pitcher and puts it on his hitter.
atta boy ozzie! make this game harder than it already is.
don't have what?
and i would argue that they can close out games and have a few times now.

Ozzie should have realized Brian wasn't going to get anything...
to hit. That call was unnecessary. They were going to walk him and try to get the DP. If anything, he should have called it with Uribe who would have better pitches for that.
BA was actually very lucky to get that pitch to bunt....if you are a gambling man...and obviously
Ozzie is…then you would have expected something away there…because they don’t care about the walk…Uribe was on deck.
I say give the job to Cheat
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
So if Anderson K's, the worst that can happen is that Uribe is up with 2 outs...
With a suicide squeeze play where Quentin is running home regardless of what happens at the plate, the worst outcome is a double play if he misses the bunt.
My God, Ozzie is mentally retarded.
Postgame
I’m really curious how Ozzie is going to justify that call. “I thought a low-percentage attempt at a squeeze by a batter who can’t bunt was a better option than just giving him a chance to put the ball in play?”
Ozzie is managing a team that's plays other than the way he prefers. Its a station to station team, that thrives off the long ball.
Ozzie wants to be more creative, like other teams do. KW did’nt build that kind of team. And Ozzie and Chicago just haveto live with it.
remember...
Do you remember when it looked like the White Sox would win this game, but then Ozzie took out the clothes hanger and tried his best to abort the game.
Larry, you are a god :)
Pitching and defense.
profundo!

Wow, nice smarts by O.C. so far today...
throwing out the runner at 3rd and taking the extra base on the error there.
Man.., that was a smart play by Cabrera.
Pitching and defense.
ph for Jim here!
he can’t touch lefties!

Total Spoiler
But last night I caught a sweet foreshadowing when Carcetti goes to the Zorzi the veteran political reporter from the Sun with the story about the postponement of the academy classes (to save money in the budget). He makes an inside joke about how “the new city editor (Gus!) wants a piece on reforming the liquor board”—but of course the vets know thats impossible so Carcetti and Zorzi just chuckle at Gus’ (and the Mayors’) expense.
wednesdays headline
Sox Forfeit Second Straight Game
AP- The Chicago White Sox had to forfeit for the second straight time after the entire team caught pneumonia in an extra innings disaster on monday…

jeebus, this is ridiculous
i figured that picking this one up when i did i wouldn’t be able to write much of a recap, but it’s looking like i’m going to be here for half the game.
