Paulie

It is comical watching him try to hit breaking pitches. Lately, he isn’t even swinging at them.

C'mon, Smokey! This isn't 'Nam, it's bowling. There are rules!

cool!

awesome!

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

Now you have to change yours!

May I suggest William B. Williams from the Sammy Maudlin show?

SCTV

Lola Heatherton on the Sammy Maudlin Show – John Candy is Willam B. Williams, he’s the Ed McMahon to Cheat’s Sammy Maudlin. Give it a chance, get past the first minute.

"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."

Dude

He’s got 3.70 ERA. Every other team in baseball doesn’t destroy. The Sox should generate more offense than this, but you are going overboard.

How sad is that?

The Twins announcer is now making excuses for the Sox offense (“they didn’t have the benefit of an off-day like the Twins did”).

I wish there were a way to count

the number of times Uribe’s gotten out on the first pitch after a Sox homer.

There is

Here’s a link to all the first pitch outs Uribe’s made in a White Sox uni… All you gotta do is find the ones that came after a HR..

So, since I can't see the game, how does gavin look tonight?

Lucky, or relatively skillful? It would be more exciting if his K rate were higher, but I’m amazed that he’s done this well so far….

by hitlesswonder on Apr 29, 2008 9:10 PM CDT reply reply   0 recs

No complaints...

I’ll take a quality start out of the 5 spot any day of the week (and twice on tuesday).

by vince_ on Apr 29, 2008 9:11 PM CDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

Mostly lucky.

Especially if you consider the right to face the Twins’ offense “lucky”.

Joist

by Joist on Apr 29, 2008 9:12 PM CDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

He's been okay....would likely have been better

if the Sox coulda scored some runs earlier in the game.
