feel free to take that as sexually as you’d like

Wiz, I changed my avatar just for you
"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."
Now you have to find a pic of Donny Lucy...

cool!
awesome!
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
Now you have to change yours!
May I suggest William B. Williams from the Sammy Maudlin show?

"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."
who's willy?
he doesn’t seem like most interesting man in the world!

SCTV
Lola Heatherton on the Sammy Maudlin Show – John Candy is Willam B. Williams, he’s the Ed McMahon to Cheat’s Sammy Maudlin. Give it a chance, get past the first minute.
"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."
Hawk had to spend some time fluffing Boof...
even though every other team in baseball can destroy his ass but us.
You know who this Boof kid remind me of? Koufax
"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."
You know who was Jewish?
That Ron Blomberg kid.
"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."
That Blomberg - he sure raked in the dough
First free-agent – what, $600K? That was a lot of cabbage even to ME, and I was making $75,000.
I took the "under".

Dude
He’s got 3.70 ERA. Every other team in baseball doesn’t destroy. The Sox should generate more offense than this, but you are going overboard.

Bonser's earned runs this season
2,6,0,3,3 in games before tonight. He got rocked in exactly one game and had a 1.2 WHIP coming into tonight. He’s not getting destroyed by everyone else. Sheesh.

Yeah, but how can you take a guy named "Boof" seriously?
I mean, he HAS to be a dork.
I took the "under".
I guess it may have crossed the plate on a bounce...
DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE OFFENSE!!! BOOF IS JUST A STUD!!! OUR OFFENSE IS FINE!!! I PROMISE!!!
i like the other thread better
dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
MM, is your "ba-zing" a commentary

you guys could go in on a threesome with Cansequito some time.
dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
Maybe is we had 8 more Quentin's in our lineup, I wouldn't have to watch this trash called an offense.
I just call it trash
no offense to be found there
Our guys are swinging at pitches that are only crossing the plate on a bounce...
but we shouldn’t worry about our unlucky offense? Ummm, yeah…
it's steve jobs' fault!
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
For the Sox.

Pitching and defense.
How sad is that?
The Twins announcer is now making excuses for the Sox offense (“they didn’t have the benefit of an off-day like the Twins did”).
Joist
Well the commercial actually cut off the very end of his sentence
So maybe I just got switched to the Sox feed for a second.
Joist
Anyone gonna watch Costas now?
KT from FJM aka Mose is gonna be on. I wonder if it will be interesting at all. Probably not.
yeah
at least it’s not a shut out anymore…..sigh…
and juan with the abligitory first-pitch out
to end the inning.
I wish there were a way to count
the number of times Uribe’s gotten out on the first pitch after a Sox homer.
Joist
There is
Here’s a link to all the first pitch outs Uribe’s made in a White Sox uni… All you gotta do is find the ones that came after a HR..

So, since I can't see the game, how does gavin look tonight?
Lucky, or relatively skillful? It would be more exciting if his K rate were higher, but I’m amazed that he’s done this well so far….
No complaints...
I’ll take a quality start out of the 5 spot any day of the week (and twice on tuesday).
Mostly lucky.
Especially if you consider the right to face the Twins’ offense “lucky”.
Joist
He's been okay....would likely have been better
if the Sox coulda scored some runs earlier in the game.
what effort?
you think you’re clever with your “ba-zing BS
Again using that razor sharp wit to avoid having to defend yourself
also… you are the only one here with the word “shit” in your handle
wow
did you figure that out all by yourself?
Well I'm sure I method I used to figure it out wasn't nearly as empirical as your method of figuring out the type of game Gavin would have pitched with better run support
I'd ask if you ever heard of helping a pitcher's confidence
with a thing called run support, but I forgot we’re talking about baseball and that’s a little beyond the TV you get to watch in mommy’s basement.
Does your mommy know you're drinking beer
down there?
it's ironic that a blogger would play up the old bloggers live in their mothers' basements joke
while blogging to another blogger. no?
Yeah... I actually love baseball
I love it so much, that I read a lot about it. And I have never read anything that suggests pitchers perform better with a lead. If you know of something, point me to it.
But I do read this really funny baseball blog called Fire Joe Morgan. You’ve heard of them right? They mock people when they write embarrassingly ignorant commentary on baseball. I bring this up because they seem to be mocking someone in this article who has very similar comedic tastes to you:
http://www.firejoemorgan.com/2008/04/heady-days.html
So you are at least as funny as Jim Armstrong, for what it’s with, which is little.
I love it so much, that I read a lot about it.
Most real BB fans don’t READ about it – they WATCH it.
Maybe you should try it sometime.
Next he's gonna tell us
he “reads” the articles in playboy magazines….
your constricted zero sum universe
is what’s keeping CQ and me from each other.

So you hate reading and homosexuals?
Bet you know quite a bit about keeping your woman in line as well.
at least I HAVE one
and I don’t mean “mommy”
Well of course I have my "mommy"
No one else would let me live in their basement! Where I play my video games! And dream about what REAL women feel like!
One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch, babe
Just ‘cause one chick has bad taste doesn’t mean you need to stalk Q, colin.

it’s the “intangibles”.
As in, we just make it up.

I'm glad Juan got out on one pitch.
Maybe it hides the fact that Boof’s arm is done tonight, which could lead to a rally starting in the eighth.

Good timing
As Cabrera just passed up a chance to get the lead runner.

He’s already at limit
I have to say
If Uribe’s bat has to be in the lineup, I think he should play SS….

That AB made no sense...
He swings at a pitch 2 feet off the plate then acts surprised when the ump calls the next pitch on the outside corner?
That's the no double plays offense!
As opposed to the no doubles defense.

I'm pretty sure
Swisher would have been toast had he tried to go to second on the wild pitch.

I got the Twins' guys on.
But the fact that I came to the same conclusion as Hawk and DJ without listening to them is scary.

dis keed plays the game the right way
Naw, we need him
He can get a guy out in a rundown.

Those are my fist and last thoughts for the night….Hope you guys enjoy the rest of this crappy game!
At least we got that rundown shit figured out finally

All optimism was drained from me yesterday
I need to see some wins to replenish any optimism – preferable by the Sox

"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."
But Hawk says Dotel loves to work
You know who else loved to work a lot of innings? Jim Lonborg.
"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."
You bastard
I was saving him.
But do you know the hardest throwing closer I ever saw? Dick Radatz. If he came in as the sun was going down, mercy, that was scary.
I took the "under".
Did Lonborg really become a dentist after baseball?
Maybe Hawk has mentioned that, but I don’t recall it.
If it’s on Wikipedia, it must be true.
I was rooting for Messi
No one could pull teeth like Lonborg. No one.
"The little things are always in my mind," he said. "I always like to move the guy over, I like to bunt."

I think this is the time
where we begin to realize we can’t win 90 games with a .250 team BA. Regardless of OBP, we need to hit.
My perceptions may be slightly altered right now,
but I’m going to take that as sarcasm.

Agreed. Hitting sucks.
Greg Walker is getting another free pass. Watch the Sox free fall in the standings if their batting, slugging, and OBP does not improve. So far, the Sox pitching has been pretty good. This is a VERY similar situation to last year when the Sox started out competitively even though the hitting stunk.
C'mon, Smokey! This isn't 'Nam, it's bowling. There are rules!
