I love it so much, that I read a lot about it. And I have never read anything that suggests pitchers perform better with a lead. If you know of something, point me to it.

But I do read this really funny baseball blog called Fire Joe Morgan. You’ve heard of them right? They mock people when they write embarrassingly ignorant commentary on baseball. I bring this up because they seem to be mocking someone in this article who has very similar comedic tastes to you:

Greg Walker is getting another free pass. Watch the Sox free fall in the standings if their batting, slugging, and OBP does not improve. So far, the Sox pitching has been pretty good. This is a VERY similar situation to last year when the Sox started out competitively even though the hitting stunk.
