Diamondbacks close to signing CF Chris Young to long-term contract
UPDATE:
The Diamondbacks will officially announce a six-year deal for Chris Young on Tuesday.
The deal will buy out Young's first year of free agency, and there's expected to be an option for 2014. The total package should be worth about $30 million.====================================================================
The Diamondbacks are close to signing OF Chris Young to a long-term contract.
Young's new deal is thought to be similar to the six-year, $31 million deal Troy Tulowitzki got. It would keep him under Arizona's control through his first season of free agency. Young has proven he's a Gold Glove-caliber fielder, and while his average should improve, has shown he's a legitimate 30-30 threat.

Smart move
Unless Young completely flames out that contract will be a great value the last couple of years.
Who gives an eff?
If this is meant for salt in a non-existent wound, so be it. Javy came arouund today and (I think after exhaustive discussions) worth the ding in losing CY.
Positive waves, man.
I took the "under".
Good vibes, brother.
Just because you are a character doesn't mean you have character.
