Let's get this biznitch started

I smell a W for Danks!

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

by rhythm on May 13, 2008 9:06 PM CDT   0 recs

Weaver has already struck out more Sox in his career

Fidrych vs. Sox: 2-1, 2.60 ERA, 27.2 IP, 29 H, 4 BB, 3 K.

after that first inning

it might time to start putting him in the same category as Johan Santana…. Why show up?

1 run in 13 innings, 10 hits, 15:1 K/BB ratio

And we're off!

First pitch at 7:0 something, a fast ball for a called strike on O-Cab

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

by rhythm on May 13, 2008 9:09 PM CDT   0 recs

This isn't going to be too tough for Weaver...

First three guys in our lineup trying to hit a 5-run homer—one sky-high popup and two strikeouts.

The same reason that Cabrera is leading off for us

Scoscia and Ozzie are two of the brightest in the game…

Danks throwing 91-92 MPH according to WCIU.

Nice job getting out of that inning unscathed.

Hawk sounding Suessian about Guerrero

“He can hit it high and low, from his eyes to his toes. “

He can hit it in a box, he can hit it with a fox.

Not sure if its the same

but there is some kids song, Head, shoulders, knees and toes or something. Fox had a little skit on it they ran a few times over the last few years.

I can't hear the name Weaver without thinking of UHF

Garret Anderon vs. John Danks...

Those were three of the ugliest swings you will see.

Almost a White Sox...

Instead, the Yankees gave him the big bucks and the Sox signed El Duque.

Walker is going to petition the league

1.) Changeups should be outlawed. The pitch itself is evil, and scares the bats.
2.) Pitchers must challenge hitters over the middle of the plate. If they go low and away a run goes up on the board for your team.
3.) If a ball is hit super high, it counts as a home run. We have figured that Crede hit 98 home runs in 05 alone.
4.) Right field is out.

by southsideirish71 on May 13, 2008 9:39 PM CDT   0 recs

Well Swish and Cabrera

Forgot completely how to hit under Walkers watch.

by southsideirish71 on May 13, 2008 9:44 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

The harder you swing, the longer the bat.

The longer the bat, the more plate you cover.

It makes perfect sense.

Hawk said it

but he was fed it by somebody else in his ear, he referenced them by name, but I don’t remember…

He also might have said the word “Mountians” again, making the statement true, I think

AIM: SouthSideCheat

At least these strikeouts are running up his pitch count

Weaver wasn’t able to make it passed the 6th in his two previous starts against he Sox, and it wasn’t because he was getting hit… it had to do with his pitch count… 107 and 114

AIM: SouthSideCheat

by The Cheat on May 13, 2008 9:44 PM CDT   0 recs

Nothing like watching your lineup get owned...

by a pitcher that has been getting shellacked by the rest of baseball.

by SSH2005 on May 13, 2008 9:46 PM CDT   0 recs

Well the powerhouse offense in Kansas City

Shellacked him for 8 runs over 3 1/3.

But Hawk tells us, his velocity is up. That and the fact that our team doesn’t adjust to low and away. Opposing pitching coaches must snicker when they prepare for our team. Pitch to one spot and put it on autopilot.

I wonder if the sox actually spend time

Looking at opposition pitching charts and how they attack our hitters. Its not exactly a secret. Low and away, put it on auto. One 3-2, throw a change. On 0-2 or 1-2 throw into the dirt.

Hawk and DJ

The hitting coach is the hardest thing to do in baseball. If you tell the hitters what to do, like move up on the plate. None of them will listen.

Why exactly are we paying Walk then. Fire him, and buy more twinkies for Juan.

Obviously its because he doesn't listen to the hitting coach

That’s why teams should have 2 hitting coaches

by Brush Back on May 13, 2008 10:21 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I thought thats why Gellinger was on the payroll

I mean he really doesnt teach hitting, and showing videos of home runs may make the hitter feel good but hardly breaks down their swing.
