WTF?!?
Welcome back? From what? Some kind of Reinsdorf exile? Or was it Fisk’s own imposed exile? Will he be wearing a Red Sox hat when he comes back on his Harley? And, why stop there? Go ahead and make him a bench coach, bullpen coach, catching coach, hit the cutoff man coach, or even a baserunning coach.
C'mon, Smokey! This isn't 'Nam, it's bowling. There are rules!

Maybe they should make Fisk...
the backup catcher. I’m sure it’ll be an upgrade.

Fisk, after the '87 season (I think) was named
Chicago Player of the Year by the baseball writers. In his (long, rambling) speech he said something I’ve quoted often:
Life is made up of judgement and experience. My bad judgements have given me the experience I needed to make good judgements.

Wasn't he accused of beating up a little leaguer a few years back?
I didn’t know he had actually “left” the organization.

Well, the kid was probably daydreaming. Or he talked back.

Remember when he called out the football player
for not running out a grounder to 1st?
Classic!
