Is that a typo?
Garland has only 12 Strikeouts this season? Wowzers. I think maybe Alexei should be playing, is a chance he won’t strike out.
no typo there!
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
Perpetuating a Stereotype
So I was thumbing through the June 15th, 1951 issue of LIFE Magazine, and came across an article titled “Chicago’s White Sox Are White Hot”.
The article begins:
On Chicago’s South Side last week the stockyards were empty and Comiskey Park was full.
But the reference to empty stockyards was not the best part. In the second paragraph, it reads:
At the ball park the Sox fans cast off their inferiority complexes and really cut loose. They howled, fought amongst themselves and lit fires in the stands. They kept an endless stream of torn paper fluttering down from the upper deck and threw lighted firecrackers at enemy outfielders.
We are multi -enerational degenerates.

i hate all that inferiority complex bullshit. what, do they think they're better than us?
i wish someone had told me that sportsnation had replaced rationality with caps lock.
Its not like we're paranoid or anything..
its just everyone’s against us!
"Walkie, you're doing a heck of a job."
in 1951, two thirds of LIFE magazine readers were "upper class"
according to the magazine’s own statistics. so, yes, at that point in time the stockyard laboring, blue collar Sox fans were looked down upon by the eastern elite.

I’m looking at you Juan.
"Walkie, you're doing a heck of a job."

he’s heading the wrong way. wait, what’s that you say? he’s right where he needs to be? oh, nevermind then.
i wish someone had told me that sportsnation had replaced rationality with caps lock.
he is so unfamiliar with them. he doesn't make them. he doesn't catch them. he wants no part of that bullshit.
i wish someone had told me that sportsnation had replaced rationality with caps lock.
i heart stoney
farmer: either he had the green light and didn’t like the pitch or he didn’t.
stone: well that’s all it could be.

Maybe I'm just used to Uribe
but how did Cabrera not catch that popup?
I love it...
when the defense screws up, and they go out and yell at the pitcher.

By the way...
Chris Getz went 2-for-5 tonight. His line is somewhere in the .300/.360/.470 range right now.
DeWayne Wise went 4-for-4 – his batting average is now .351.
Brad Eldred hit his 13th homer of the season.
Tony Collaro connected for his 3rd and 4th homer (in just five games as a Knight).
Rough outing for Lance Broadway – 6 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 3 K, 1 HR.

They have Justin Upton.

The girlfriend was a big Garland fan.
She wanted the Sox to beat up on the bullpen, not him. Anyways, after 3 runs and the bases loaded she was feeling bad for Garland. As soon as she heard Thome was up she said, “You’re so lucky Thome’s up, Jon.”
The funny part is that even though she has hardly paid them much attention this year, she knows Thome’s hurting.
Any chance it's Thome's eyes?
Does he wear contacts? See him in glasses in the clubhouse?
