No worries
Last in the American League in batting average was not what Sox hitting coach Greg Walker had in mind this year, but he’s not too worried at this point. ’’The culture is there to have a really good offensive team,’’ Walker said. ’’Paul Konerko is not going to hit .220 this year. Jim Thome is not going to hit .220 this year. We’re going to walk a bunch, hit a lot of home runs and hit better than .240, or whatever our average is.’‘

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

Huge cut low and away fastball miss
Changeup in the dirt, Huge cut and miss.
Curve away, stick your butt, out and lunge your upper body towards the pitch, and yank it to left for an easy flyout.

Give me a break...
There’s a big difference between 4 hits and 2 runs in 5 innings and 1 hit and 0 runs in 5 innings.

you're giving them credit for the two runs that scored because of a botched routine play to end the inning?

And the Blue Jays should be facing the better pitcher in this matchup.

based on marcum's 34 K's and .167 BAA so far this year?

i didn't say that. you are the king of love of small sample sizes. in this case, marcum this year is much better than buehrle this year.

You must be the kind of homerism then.
This offense is embarrassing.
by SSH2005 on May 2, 2008 7:27 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
i am hardly a homer.
but you say the offense sucks so often that it seems like a fucking miracle that the white sox are (a) in first place and (b) have scored more runs than 17 other teams in baseball.

Buehrle is sick tonight.
but Crede and the offense are going to shit all over him.
by SSH2005 on May 2, 2008 7:21 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
but Marcum isn't sick tonight? Just the shitty Sox making him look so?

If you need to even ask that question, you are fucking kidding yourself.
Are you watching the same game I am?
by SSH2005 on May 2, 2008 7:24 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs

Well...
you get tired of the “running into a buzzsaw” excuse.
Marcum was sick.
Blackburn was sick.
Bonser was sick.
Burres was sick.
Mussina was sick.

It would of been nice to see Owens in center and leading off.
Change it up a bit, even though (I know) Owen sucks to many.

by circles on May 2, 2008 7:24 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs

I would rather see Owens in center than
Anderson.

who do you sit?
if they can trade Thome or Konerko, hes cool.
as is, i’d rather not have him out there.
O-fer Cabrera kind of sucks, doesnt he?

ed?
“a home run ties it”...
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

Definitely...
even though it will be a call that probably won’t even matter in the end.

You can't atone for a sloppy throwing error
Joe has had 5 errors this season all pretty sloppy.

I might be mistaken
but I swear I saw the Toronto dugout laughing uproariously as Uribe came to the plate, did I see that correctly?
