Looks like...
same lineup as Tuesday’s.

Er...
That is to say, Wednesday’s, and Pierzynski is in instead of Hall.

No worries
Last in the American League in batting average was not what Sox hitting coach Greg Walker had in mind this year, but he’s not too worried at this point. ’’The culture is there to have a really good offensive team,’’ Walker said. ’’Paul Konerko is not going to hit .220 this year. Jim Thome is not going to hit .220 this year. We’re going to walk a bunch, hit a lot of home runs and hit better than .240, or whatever our average is.’‘

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
The culture is there...
All they need now is a coach.
Joist
We are the Culture Club
“Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to cry?”
Yep, that’s our AVG.
I took the "under".
i figure Sunday vs. Halladay
the whole team gets in line and under .300.
O-fer Cabrera kind of sucks, doesnt he?
another non-hit for thome.
Repeat after me: reading comprehension, even a little bit of thought before posting, and basic research are not signs of weakness.
At least Thome reached base
while the others[ Cabrera and Dye] looked overmatched and Swish didn’t hesitate to swing. Hope buerhle is good tonight every inning.
Can't execute the fundamentals!
So many times already this year.
SSH, is that you?

Um, Sox,pay attention
That’s what a 2 out RBI looks like. Repeat when you have the opportunity.
I took the "under".
2 runs against the Sox?
More than enough, yawn.
based on one at-bat?

Well, he still has to knock in two runs to make up for his error...
but he will soon be back down to the .750 OPS guy he always is.
i don't doubt he'll regress back to the type of numbers he's put up before,
but i don’t know that his first at-bat on may 2nd is the evidence for that.

Crede last two weeks...
.189/.268/.378 (not counting that popup).
There’s more evidence than one at-bat pointing to a Crede regression.
by The Jerry Royster Experience on May 2, 2008 6:44 PM CDT up reply actions
that's fine. big difference when the evidence is actually presented, though, don't you think?

i didn't understand you meant hitting badly in general.
if you just said “crede sucks again,” i would have understood that. but you specifically referred to the pop-up and nothing else. i just didn’t know that he’d been popping up everything again recently.

Shaun Marcum is also Babe Ruth, pitcher
Man, I am in a foul mood this eve. We’d better effin’ score.
Wait, girl’s gymnastics on the Sunshine Network. I’m OK now.

Is this the stadium that gives away pizzas with 9 Zs?
Better start lining up!
Pitching and defense.
Fastest 1/2 inning in the history of baseball.
Pitching and defense.
10 Sox hitters -5 Strikeouts
To quote Walker-We’ll start hitting soon” -Does that this month, next month or next season? These players are tough to watch flail away at slow off-speed pitches.
it was a reverse jinx! wu wants to stay pissed, remember?

Scouting report for every Sox hitter
He will swing through his shoes on a 2-0 pitch, no matter where it is.
Joist
every pitcher looks great against the chi sox
and their season seems to ‘all come together’ when they pitch against the sox
hmmm….
Maybe OC will steal second, third, and home
That’s the only way he’s scoring.

damn, I really remember Olerud being
the slowest guy on the field almost every game.
i don't really know who is faster. i just couldn't bet against a guy who had to wear a helmet in the field to protect himself against another aneurysm.

He must be working out with Contreras
Because he picked up this side arm crap every so often, and the ball sails or cuts right before the first baseman can catch it. Its not like he was rushed on it, he got lazy and half assed it.
by southsideirish71 on May 2, 2008 7:12 PM CDT up reply actions
MB jealous of all Marcum's K's apparently...
...also I don’t think PK makes that play at 1st that Swish just made.
I couldn't even believe Swisher made the play.
I just assumed it was going to be two runs. That was a nice play.
there ya go. shit on the one compliment SSH has given since Q last did something good.

I'm trying to be consistent this eve.
Even attempting to diminish Cheat’s observation. Heretic.
I took the "under".
Helluva question
I would think the reaction time is not as much of an issue from guys who are used to 95 mph fastballs as long as the hops are true. But I don’t know.
I took the "under".
Its the art of low and away
You spot it low and away and our pull only lineup can’t control themselves.
Oh and the adjustments on the swing are great.
Crede’s AB
Huge cut low and away fastball miss
Changeup in the dirt, Huge cut and miss.
Curve away, stick your butt, out and lunge your upper body towards the pitch, and yank it to left for an easy flyout.
Cabrera hits the ball back up the middle, and the entire team must figure that Marcum is going to tee it up for him center in about thigh high.
by southsideirish71 on May 2, 2008 7:18 PM CDT up reply actions
Just assume that every pitcher is going to throw heat over the cock of the plate...
and “PULL IT, SON!!!”
i can't believe you don't turn the volume down. putting anything on...music, radio (whether sox broadcast or not) would have to make the game viewing more pleasant.

It's really good...
...pretty amazing tech, fun gameplay, good story, and their version of NYC looks amazing.
that settles it
im headed for the doghouse.
you can play online too, right?
O-fer Cabrera kind of sucks, doesnt he?
16 player online...
...and the online stuff takes place in the entire city, pretty much anything you can do in the single player game you can do in the multiplayer game.
online play is really cool.
One of the games- cops and robbers…with rocket launchers.

blue jays have four hits in five innings off a guy throwing 85 mph fastballs who can't strike anybody out. they effin' suck!!!!
Repeat after me: reading comprehension, even a little bit of thought before posting, and basic research are not signs of weakness.
Give me a break...
There’s a big difference between 4 hits and 2 runs in 5 innings and 1 hit and 0 runs in 5 innings.
you're giving them credit for the two runs that scored because of a botched routine play to end the inning?

It would of been nice to see Owens in center and leading off.
Change it up a bit, even though (I know) Owen sucks to many.
I would rather see Owens in center than
Anderson.
who do you sit?
if they can trade Thome or Konerko, hes cool.
as is, i’d rather not have him out there.
O-fer Cabrera kind of sucks, doesnt he?

You can't atone for a sloppy throwing error
Joe has had 5 errors this season all pretty sloppy.
I might be mistaken
but I swear I saw the Toronto dugout laughing uproariously as Uribe came to the plate, did I see that correctly?
