The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

Jim Carrey got $20MM for The Cable Guy.

Haven't you heard

The new league rule says the ChiSox can only score using the HBP, BB and solo HR. Sure is tough on us!

as it dawned on him the inning was over.

Yes, he's kicked ass tonight

especially where he missed the cutoff man.

I took the "under".

by winningugly on May 2, 2008 8:01 PM CDT up reply actions

The same kind of game

That we played all last year and will continue to play all this year

by southsidejeff on May 2, 2008 8:05 PM CDT up reply actions

Thome is automatic strikeout.

Can’t we move him down the order? Can’t we change this lineup?

by circles on May 2, 2008 8:06 PM CDT reply actions

or as long as he has the second best OPS on the team.

Repeat after me: reading comprehension, even a little bit of thought before posting, and basic research are not signs of weakness.

by Toonderstrook on May 2, 2008 8:08 PM CDT up reply actions

Call me crazy

How about Quentin and Thome changing places??

by circles on May 2, 2008 8:07 PM CDT reply actions

He's on it tonight

Too bad we can’t back him up with a few runs. Or one.

I took the "under".

by winningugly on May 2, 2008 8:10 PM CDT reply actions

Thome's been playing like shit all year, except his

two homers in the opener. Move him down. So sick of of K’s.

by circles on May 2, 2008 8:11 PM CDT reply actions

and in the last 2 weeks, he is OPSing 1.072. what in the hell are you talking about?

History

No Sox pitcher has had a complete game loss while giving up no earned runs since Mike Sirotka on 7/23/00 The last time before that was Greg Hibbard on 5/25/90.

yes.

It's the first

complete game loss with no earned runs in all of baseball since late 2003

AIM: SouthSideCheat

by The Cheat on May 2, 2008 8:20 PM CDT up reply actions

Is this supposed to make it feel better

or worse? We suck in a completely fairly unique way?

by winningugly on May 2, 2008 8:22 PM CDT up reply actions

I feel better

But that might be the whiskey kicking in

by joewho112 on May 2, 2008 8:23 PM CDT up reply actions

for cutting Big Frank!

at least the Yankees will miss the post-season, too.

by e-gus on May 2, 2008 8:22 PM CDT reply actions

Not going to blame the hitting coach... but.....

At what point does someone have to take the fall? I mean a team batting average of .240 two years running means I want someone’s head on a platter. But we can’t get rid of one of the good ‘ol boys, can we???
