Who would'a thunk this, OM:
Rays, who have won 16 of their last 17 home games and at 31-20 have the best record in the major leagues. Tampa Bay is just the second team – joining the 1903 New York Giants – to have the best mark on Memorial Day after finishing with the worst record in the big leagues the previous season

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
Impressive game...
Especially by the pen. If the seventh inning guys (Dotel, Logan, Wasserman/Masset) turn out to be effective this year, it would be a big boost to the team. Falling apart whne a starter leaves with runners on in the middle innings was a big problem last year IIRC. Well, that plus the team just totally sucking.
Jenks felt like making it interesting
I’ll even let Cabrera slide because of that clutch hit, even though he followed it up with a stupid baserunning move. Satisfying win, only to see those idiot Cleveland fans who were doing the wave during the 9th freaking inning of a tie game go home with a loss.
Rusty Longley v 2.0
I wouldn't rip them too much on the wave...
till we get our house in order – HRs thrown back, the wave the other night during a close game and us at bat…
I won't say we are the greatest fans in the world
I just saw it on TV tonight and it irritated me. I kind of felt bad because they live in Cleveland, but overall I was still miffed at fans doing the wave when it wasn’t a blowout.

64.6%
According to the White Sox’s game notes, 64.6 percent of the teams in first place on Memorial Day have advanced to the post-season since the three-division and wild card formats were utilized in 1995.

Pitching, defense and health.
Jenks 2nd fastest to 100 saves
That’s a nifty stat.
Jenks allowed two singles, then got Jhonny Peralta to hit into a double play and struck out Franklin Gutierrez to become the second-fastest reliever to notch 100 career saves, doing so in 187 games. Kazuhiro Sasaki did it in 160.
