because that would be like limiting the number of non americans in baseball…

the bulls situation is too confusing
d-rose or beasley?
will collins be able to work with the roster the bulls have now?\
who do you trade?
just too much to think about

i dont know
its a shocker for sure… but i dont know if hes a good fit for such a young team as he likes to run his offense at a very slow pace…

he's just completely boring
i just can’t believe that the loads of assistants and assorted foreign coaches throughout the land couldn’t be tried out.

a lot of this is about asses in seats.
collins’ teams have always shown a big improvement over the previous season. and he has some instant credibility with the knuckleheads. bulls fans weren’t going to have patience for ty corbin.

aside from the "wear out your welcome" factor
how much do NBA coaches really matter? i don’t actually know who corbin is, either.

i think the idea is to hire him
and one of other top choices as an assistant. you get the three good years out of collins (the teams always improve under him) and then have a non-retread take over when collins pulls his larry brown.

Is Heath humble or what? But he doesn't give up. From Mark Gonzales' mailbag
I have to admit I was wrong with my assessment of ”...a healthy Jerry Owens, helps the team more than a healthy Carlos Quentin” a few weeks ago. The more I read about his preparation and ability when healthy, I can see why Williams targeted this guy a couple years ago. I still contend more speed is needed in the lineup to field a better all-around team, but definitely not at the expense of Carlos Quentin. Do you know the latest on Owens being possibly called up (any chance Thome gets moved before the break and moving Paulie to DH to make room), or since they are playing so well lately has everything kind of been put on the backburner?—Heath, Omaha

Not a fan of using Dotel here.
I’d rather opt for a second Thornton inning or maybe Masset. Tampa’s got two lefties, so higher-leverage situations to be had.

Any stats on Dotel with runners on vs not?
I hardly remember him with the bases empty except to give up a leadoff baserunner, but on fire with runners on.
