i didn’t say thome was great shakes right now. i just took issue with your small sample size general pronouncements (kw being a proven moron for thinking rowand > andruw jones this year, etc.) and said he was as entitled to as much a benefit of the doubt as your boy adam dunn.

37 year olds don’t usually turn into better players, they decline. Meanwhile, 28 is still in a players "prime years". But if you want to keep acting like a T-homer, go right ahead.
Both Rowand and Jones are around the same age and Rowand has put up a 108 career OPS+ while Jones has put up a 112 career OPS+. A lot of people probably thought that Jones would be better than Rowand this season. We didn’t expect him to show up to the Dodgers 30 pounds overweight. If he gets into shape, I would not be surprised if Jones outperforms Rowand next season, although park factors will probably come into play.
