Orlando Hudson
I have heard that the White Sox may be interested in Orlando Hudson. Do you think that they would be willing to give up pitching prospects Lance Broadway and Kyle McCulough and Alexei Ramirez to acquire Hudson. What would you guys give up to get Hudson? Keep in mind he has won three consecutive gold gloves and is considered one of the games elite offensive second baseman (Behing Chase Utley and Ian Kinsler). So what do you guys think?

he's not from around here. he gets a pass.
otherwise i’d be laughing my ass off at the “let’s give them alexei ramirez and other stuff for a few months of orlando hudson” suggestion

i was wondering where this "i have heard..." occurred
funny how ridiculous rumors start: “We could probably get a lot of prospects from a team like the White Sox who have voiced a need to make changes and are very weak at second base. We could probably get some high level pitching and hitting prospects…”

some people say this will be at mlbtraderumors in no time. but there’s a growing concern that people overvalue about 2 months of an average baseball player, considering they’re asking for roughly 17 years of cost controlled player years in return.

high level hitting prospects?
where are they hiding them?
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

well, you tell me
i’m not one of those prospect definitional nazis who jumps on john sickels when he includes adam jones in his list. i see an unproven rookie with potential who has been starting in the majors for less than a month and an unproven player with potential who has played the entire year in AAA.

One is starting for the last month at 2B and is raising hell
and the other is recovering from an injury and is puching his ticket back to the parent. Not quite “prospects”. But no “sure things”, either.

don't want "O-Dog" for Ramirez
but if you’ve got another Quentin to give away, I think we’ll listen.

Nord, no need to have them "give" another Q away
but I’m sure we have another feisty A-baller to pony up.

Whoops, it enter on accident

I asked if the Dbacks would be looking to trade Hudson, and asked if they had interest in Broadway or McCouluch (sp?). I was not implying both, and certainly not Alexei since I mentioned Alexei would be our SS next season. Anyway, my post there is more than likely where this “rumor” started.
