Radio broadcast
Listened to Saturday's Sox radio broadcast until the radio battery died.
Memo to Ed Farmer and others:
The Rockies do not have a player named Tavares
(but they do have Taveras)
The Rockies do not have a player named Spielborghs
(but they do have Spilborghs)
The Rockies do not have a player named Kwintanilla
(but they do have Quintanilla)
The Rockies do not have a player named Tulowinski
(they do have Tulowitzki)
Thanx
Randy

I'm glad I'm not the only person that is annoyed by name butchering.
I cringe whenever DJ announces that Octavio Dotel is coming into the game. God, does he destroy that name. The name should be pronounced Oak-tah-vi-o. Uribe should be pronounced OO-ri-bay, not Yu-ri-bay (OO as in fOOd). Jon Miller is the only broadcaster who consistently pronounces names correctly, even Latin players.
Damn it really is OO-ri-bay???
lol.
The SSS motto should be the answer to "What is our deepest fear?". Or maybe just Prozac.
Yep...
a “U” is pronounced “OO” in Spanish.
Rockies @ White Sox (6/14/2008):
Cy De La Rosa's line -- 5.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 SO
The White Sox "unlucky" offense dropped Cy De La Rosa's ERA from 8.13 to 6.89.
Farmer sounding like Harey Carey
Ohhh Eddie Farmr on Saturday’s broadcast everytime I saw the rocks leadoff man Taveras get on I thought he would say Steven Speilberg was entering the box.
Ussually Farmio is right on the money but he was off his game as much of the SOX.
