The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

I’d be OK with a 1300 OPS

Wonder if JR will make him cut it...

ala Crede (and AJ I think ) in 06.

Good game

It’s interesting to see the amount of white people playing all by their lonesomes. I think there was a WSJ article today about the lack of Latins playing college ball. Looks like MLB around 1946 (I’m guessing – bally and Chiburb can tell us for real).

I'll echo the same sentiment that I read somewhere else

I’d like to see a breakdown of % of latin ballplayers vs. % of latin college students…

I think that college is still another generation away for many latinos

I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it

Is it just because majority of Latino prospects are coming from out of the country? You would think there are enough people of Hispanic origin in this country that there would be some serious prospects out there. And considering how college sports run like a meat market, there’s no doubt scouts and coaches are scouring every town looking for the next prospect.

How quick do you think

Beckham will become Hawk’s new boy crush? I give it by the first in-booth interview he does when the Sox introduce him later this year.

no way hawk will be able to keep his composure after he lays eyes on beckham

Let me tell ya

Feisty, people from Georgia just know how to play the game right and this young man is no different. I love him.

by El Duque's Raft on Jun 24, 2008 8:50 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Plus he resembles

a young Joe Crede. The memories will just come flowing back for Hawk and it will be all over.

That was a horseshit strike call, though.

They might as well be

throwing the ball underhand and using a 12 inch. This is ridiculous. It’ll be going into the ninth by about midnight at this rate

I'm interspersing it with the Rays/Marlins
