Or you being first on Thread Part Deux?

The former

400 too...

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

by The Wizard on Jun 26, 2008 9:04 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Anyone else hate these developmental picks...

that don’t play in the NBA for years or don’t even pan out anyways?

Anyone remember Dragan Tarlać hype? Haha.

by SSH2005 on Jun 26, 2008 9:04 PM CDT   0 recs

so, what's next year's lineup?

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

by The Wizard on Jun 26, 2008 9:06 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

As of opening day Rose won't start, but he will definitely take that spot from Kirk

I envision
Rose
Kirk or Thabo (I have a feeling Ben will be signed and traded for a quality big man, and Hinrich played the 2 a lot at Kansas).
Deng
Tyrus
Noah

If they could somehow move Nocioni for a big man, they could re sign Gordon and bring him off the bench where he’s best suited. Buy out Larry Hughes and send him to hell, and sign a durable backup PG like Chucky Atkins.

by Ozzie Montana on Jun 27, 2008 11:23 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Don't forget the Magic's Fran Vasquez of Spain

from 3 years ago – never even signed.

I know what you mean.

They keep saying “Expect this guy to stay in Europe”

Then why draft him now?

I believe in Harvey, Illinois

by Hazymania on Jun 26, 2008 9:07 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

because you're picking late anyway and don't anticipate any big roster moves.

so instead of stunting some guy by not playing him or having in the rotation, have him continue to play in his premiere league overseas.

or you're cheap/close to the luxuray tax

and you can stash him in europe and not even pay him

I'd like to see

Rose
Hughes
Deng
Thomas
Noah

Kirk first off the bench

It's unlikely though

Unless they move Gooden, which I’d be okay with.

yeah, but that's still a big difference than in the quinn situation.

he lost all the dough and ended up with cleveland, who was either (a) going to suck or (b) going to get better with somebody else running the show relegating you to trade bait again.

He's not going to be hard up.

If he’s worth it he’ll make it up when his Rookie contract is up.

THREE freaking lottery picks are being added to their roster this year.

by Ozzie Montana on Jun 26, 2008 9:20 PM CDT   0 recs

Including Oden?

by Toonderstrook on Jun 26, 2008 9:25 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Actually they have 7 too

But I think I’d take Portland’s group, as long as I could keep Rose of course.

by Ozzie Montana on Jun 26, 2008 9:27 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

7? which of these arent? my point was that 7 lottery picks on your roster and $2, to quote bally, will get you on the lasalle bus.

deng
gooden
gordon
hinrich
hughes
noah
sefolosha
thomas
rose

by jeeves on Jun 26, 2008 9:30 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

regardless, that means the bulls ended last terrible season with

everybody in the rotation having been a lottery pick other than nocioni. and what the hell did that get them?

Man, when ESPN puts up for the whole country to see:

“Needs improvement: Conditioning”, that would be embarassing. As in, “He’s a lazy bastard who gets by on talent and will be swallowed whole in the pros”.

Without looking

How many of those guys Boston picked up are still under contract in 08-09. I know Posey isn’t.

Vitale just shat on Westbrook

I was expecting him to qualify it in typical Dickie V style by saying something along the lines, “Don’t get me wrong baby he’s still a good player just higher than I thought” but he didn’t

by jeeves on Jun 26, 2008 9:34 PM CDT   0 recs

He's not that big, and can't play the PG or SG particularly well

Combo guards die a quick death in the NBA, but I think Westbrook will be fine cause he can be a really good defender, and has all the intangibles
