it might fuck up his average
he’s seeing 4.5 per PA.
dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
Shit...here come the Twins...
down 4-0 and now it’s 4-2
Was hoping that Floyd would only give up 3 or less...
I like the quality starts, especially for Gavin.
slow down a minute there bob
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.
Tony Pena Jr. has his own model bat.
And it nearly hit Floyd.

How do you get your own model when you are below .200?
Who wants to buy THAT? We already got THAT!
I took the "under".
Behold, the Power of Zero
I know, I know, the Royals have won two straight games. Break out the champagne, already, right?http://blog.baseballdigestdaily.com/blog/_archives/2008/6/3/3727649.htmlThat’s great, but you know what’s really sweet? Tony Pena has gotten his OPS+ to 0. He went 0-for-1 on Friday and again on Saturday, bringing his season line to .155/.175/.194.
You think I’m crazy, but there’s so much about the Royals that fascinates me - their free-agent “strategy”; the continued presence of Pena, Ross Gload, and Joey Gathright on the roster; that the team’s top two home-run hitters (Jose Guillen and backup catcher Miguel Olivo) have combined for more homers than walks; that Alberto Callaspo has scored fewer runs than Esteban German despite reaching base 2 1/2 as many times as German; that Hideo Nomo got to pitch in actual big-league ball games this year for them - I could go on, but you get the idea.
Still, it all pales in comparison to Pena’s crowning achievement of reaching an OPS+ of 0. Not everyone can do that, you know…

Floyd's K/BB ratio
I’m too lazy to look it up, but it seems to be rising. Promising for the future. I don’t think he’ll keep his HR rate down, so I expect the ERA to rise. But his recent pitching is making me more optimistic that he’s not a fluke.
If he could be
A 175IP guy with an ERA+ around 110, that would be fucking huge for this club. How long does he have bebore arb?
if he does that we should trade his ass
dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
what he did early in the season was a fluke brought about by an absence of gopher balls
if he starts K’ing and cuts the walks, he could mitigate the coming HRs. Summer will not treat Gavin’s FB tendencies well.

New Royals reliever
I would bet my left nut that no one in the history of baseball has had a monogram “YY” until this guy. No one.
(Blows bubbles, inhales deeply.)

We're going to need a judge
Because there’s Yam Yaryan. But that’s not his first name.

Doesn't the Royals Review guy...
usually stop by to ridicule us when we’re playing against KC?
gonna out-energy a lot of guys, simply by over-attituding them
by defensive indifference on Jun 3, 2008 9:04 PM CDT reply actions
usually a condescending diary to remind us how soon the Royals will pass the Sox in the standings
in the words of the great Captain Murphy:
“We’re waiting.”

I'm pretty sure the Sox are at least a game up on the Royals

most of the times he seems to be joking (to me)
no?

Lofton would be at first in that scenario

I don't want to be too negative....
because it’s a great night….we are going to win and possible gain a game on CLE and MIN….but…
The Thome/Konerko problem (and granted there is little to be done) somehow needs to be addressed….it’s getting silly.
Hey, the positions in the lineup were flipped
Whaddya want? A wig and fake nose? “I yam what I yam”, they are.
I took the "under".
then it isn't a coincidence that I've had sweet potatoes not once but twice today!

let me guess: dotel started the inning

Anyone remember the Crosstown Classic game
before there was interleague play, at old Comiskey, fog rolled in when the Sox were at bat, they got some runs on some pop ups because no one could find the ball?
fidel!

if bobby allows 1 run and then closes it out,
he gets the save, yes?

.202
swisher still over 200 at end of the night!

Well, Ramirez is looking like the real deal...
Now all we need to do is find out if he can play a good defensive SS. If Richar has a productive rest of the season at Charlotte, we could have a very intriguing young double-play combination for next season.
I'm guessing it was a home game?
dude, that was totally not swish you saw on rush street last night. swish was at home playing xbox.
look who got the win
adam russell!

Can he hit?
We got SP’s coming out the wazoo, 1-5. And I hear he costs a lot.
;)
I took the "under".
I promise you the Twins won't win the division

Come on guys.
Not one “Sox win” , “That’s a winner”, “This one is ova”.
Nada. After all the turmoil of the last few days, we’re pretty nonchalant about a victory, where we scored 8 runs.
Right from “Bobby FEARS Gathright” to “Haha, did anyone see Ramirez do the HR bump?”

what a great game
had first row, 135 section right behind home plate. so glad i waited an extra day to attend the game. now i can fly back west content
ramirez is making every wish of mine true and keeping uribe on the bench
FYI.
Both Quentin’s and AJ’s homers were wind blown pop flies. Even though the flags didn’t show much wind, both homers looked like medium deep flies and then they drifted, drifted and drifted some more.

Watching Iguchi in this Cubs / Padres games...
makes me happy that Ramirez has gotten hot. Iguchi looks nothing like the hitter that he was with the Sox.
Meanwhile, the Cubs look like they are going to win their ninth in a row.
