Anyone else watching the Stanley Cup finals this evening?

No way for me to watch the Sox game out here.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

ozzie on walker
Ozzie Guillen spoke about Greg Walker, and said if Walker is upset with him, “he’ll have to wear it.”
http://twitter.com/cst_sox/statuses/827176404

The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

by The Wizard on Jun 4, 2008 6:39 PM CDT reply actions

maybe that's what he meant by "different Ozzie"?

no more protecting the culprits? Like he did last year?

Though seriously, Wiz: isn’t a Cowley twitter almost as bad as a Mary Otty column (which we don’t link to)?

just saw it live. Sounds like Ozzie doesn't care if he stays or goes.

I think that pretty much is the sentiment here too.

I though after 05

Ozzie has the say on this coaches. Is he asking Walk to ‘fall on this sword?’

What would Kittle do??

by thecip on Jun 4, 2008 7:14 PM CDT up reply actions

he's saying that as manager he, Ozzie, gets to say what

he wants and piss off whomever he wants. Said he pissed off his family Sunday too. If Walker doesn’t like it he should “wear it”

successful media ploy

the sox have done a remarkable job capturing the chicago media attention in light of the cubs possessing the best record in baseball. all things considering, one might have reasonably expected a all-cubs all the time media orgy.

Finally caught all the Walker highlights

Who the hell does he think he is? And who do the hell does he think Ozzie has been protecting?????

Hmmm...

Tony82087 posted this over at SoxTalk...

My old man just called and said Levine was just on ESPN 1000. He said part of the reason for all this was to protect Mark. Levine claims Buehrle has had a shoulder problem since ST, and he can’t start on 5 days anymore, but needs a week. Now I don’t know how much of this is factual(if Levine is correct, I know he said it), but I suppose we will find out pretty soon.

Thome's tape-measure home run
By Mark Gonzales, 8:29 p.m.

White Sox designated hitter Jim Thome launched a 464-foot home run in the fourth inning off Kansas City’s Luke Hochevar.

Thome’s deep blast to center field was the ninth longest home run in U.S. Cellular Field history. Thome’s homer was a two-run shot that tied the game at 2-2 and was the 518th of his career.
