I’ll say they play, and likely without interuption. But wait for Bally to make it official.

First game on my new TV

Nice

What tv did you get?

by madvillian on Jun 7, 2008 8:16 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Samsung 42" plasma

My first ‘nice’ tv (first new tv since 2002 or so). Also got a free HD Tivo with it (from amazon), which is just gravy since I’ve already been spoiled by tivo for a few years.

by Trooper on Jun 7, 2008 8:19 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I've got an HD TV

but just now got around to calling Comcast to get the HD box. Looking forward to it.

by vince_ on Jun 7, 2008 8:21 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Over the air HDTV is pretty cool

Although i went with directv last year and haven’t looked back. They soak you, but their service is pretty damn cool. 59/month for their HDTV plan and 29/month for my 10meg cable connection. Split with my roomate it’s really nice—and about 30 bucks less a month than if I had gone cable alone.

by madvillian on Jun 7, 2008 8:28 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That was my plan

the only thing I really want to see on cable is sports, maybe some discovery channel type stuff, and food channel for the girlfriend. Always had some sort of cable/dtv in past years, so its been a bit of a treat only getting to watch 1/3 of the games. Unless they happen to suck on my 1/3.

Of course that plan was easier to accept with a 25” picture.
