I finally read that baseball prospectus interview with Orlando Hudson.

I really liked that he said the following: "I wish more black kids would stay in school. It’s kind of hard to stay out of the drug game and off the streets and away from the gangs, but it’s something positive to want to get more out of life than trying to make easy and fast money. It’s better to make it the right way and be a role model, especially to your kids and to your family and to your church members."

I haven't seen many people come out and say such things about "easy and fast money", so it was quite refreshing.

I also had the thought that easy and fast money can be had in both legal markets (the stock market) as well as illicit markets (the illegal drugs and guns markets, for example). Not sure where I was going with that, just an observation.
