basement bedroom is nice and cool!
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

The Royals are facing the Sox best pitcher...
The Sox are facing a non-lefty bum starter with a 5.24 ERA. A loss would be pathetic.

Getting angry makes them play better
Especially if you repeatedly express your high standards on the Internet.

worked with swisher, right?
It simply can’t all be bad luck…
Bad luck doesn’t make a player’s numbers look like Neifi Perez’s. I’m sure that bad luck can make them look worse but not as bad as Swisher’s — .201 / .327 / .307 / .634. If Swisher was at least hitting the occasional homerun to up his SLG, I would buy that… but he isn’t. Is he even on pace for double digit homers this season? That’s ridiculous.
I think Swisher swinging at breaking shit at his shins and also taking two-strike pitches right down the cock of the plate are hurting his numbers.

yeah, you're totally right.
after those first couple months, he should be, like, already back up to a .900 OPS. that’s how regression to the mean works. you get unlucky for awhile and then you magically get all that luck back and your stats are magically back to exactly where they should be in half the time. luck + magic = reality. i can see you’ve learned a whole lot, ssh. keep up the good idiocy.

No, no, no
They can’t just be high standards – any jerk can do that.
They have to be impossibly high standards. With the lazy players we got these days, only that kind of internet vitriol can motivate them.

why not give broadway or haeger a shot...
i know their numbers have been overall far from impressive but at least they’re not 31 year olds who are not part of the future and very likely not the solution for our 5th starter issues

as mentioned above, dj carrasco.
there are practical considerations. first, haeger pitched yesterday and thus wouldn’t be available. second, broadway, as you point out, has been poor. why not go with the guy who has – i know i must be out on a limb here – produced?

broadway has pitched better of late...
and i understand what you’re saying of carrasco. but as long as we’re choosing the best of two evils, id rather choose the younger one.
