Ozuna
Is a dodger....
PHOENIX -- The Los Angeles Dodgers signed former Chicago White Sox infielder Pablo Ozuna on Sunday and designated infielder Luis Maza for assignment.
Ozuna hit .281 in 32 games for the White Sox, his fourth organization, before he was designated for assignment on July 8.
"He hasn't played a lot of second base, but he looks in good shape," said Dodgers manager Joe Torre. "He's got foot speed. He gives us an upgrade, experience-wise."
Maza hit .228 in 45 games for Los Angeles.

pablo can run
Russell Martin hasn’t seen Pablo Ozuna hit or field a baseball, but he knows this of his newest teammate: He can run.http://www.latimes.com/sports/printedition/la-sp-dodfyi21-2008jul21,0,2528520.storyOzuna, a 34-year-old utilityman who was released by the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday and signed by the Dodgers four days later, was used as a pinch-runner on Sunday and made an immediate impact, scoring from first on a ninth-inning double by Matt Kemp to tie the score and set the stage for a 6-5 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
“He might be one of the only guys on the team who could get there from first base,” Martin said.
pablo says he had another major league offer but chose the dodgers, iirtc (if i read that correctly)
The greatest trick the White Sox ever pulled was convincing their fan base that "Ozzieball" ever existed.

Except when he is being picked off
I bet it was a first-pitch double.

He doesn't even have to play
Dodgers score 8 in the 1st against the Rockies. It is clear they are dominating the majors the rest of the year. And, clearly, Pablo is the spark.

why
Why don’t you guys like Pablo….he was always a good player for the sox. He wasn’t the best fielder but if you want to talk about getting picked off then you have to HATE podsednik. That guy got picked off 20 times a year. Ozuna, Paco Martin and Deacon Newson are the 3 best bench guys the sox have had since Jerry Hairston!
