Good question.

I may be talking out my ass here, but he seems to be “streaky”. Seems to give up the big inning, so I think when he’s on a roll, either postive or negative, it’s hard for him to reverse it.

I know we said that about Garland for awhile, so maybe it’s nothing different from any other pitcher. Javy just seems to let the bad times snowball. And then, it’s gone. Which is why he’s the most frustrating guy for me to watch.

It's OK to say that it was disappointing and somewhat shocking that Javy

gave up a home run to Donnie Murphy, but I’m just not sure how that leads you to the conclusion that we are in trouble from here on out. The other guy that hit the HR is one of the more prolific HR hitters in the AL since last year.

I'm not saying that the Sox are in trouble

I’m specifically concerned about Vazquez who has pitched badly for a good long streak now, including tonight. Even if he gets away with a quality start here, he doesn’t look like he’s turning things around. That’s all I’m saying

We’ve played a few games at the Cell this year and, last time I looked, are hanging in there OK. Like almost the best home record in the majors.

we spent the first couple months waaaaay under average

6-7% of flyballs were going out. 10% is average. that’s probably not what it is at the Cell.
