Alright everyone, it's time for all the naysayers of last year to come forward and redeem yourselves by helping (the much deserving) Jermaine Dye go to the all-star game. Every fan should vote and vote often. We have gotten Pod's and AJ in, now it's time to get JD in the game! I voted for about 25 minutes... there does not seem to be a limit so take a half hour or do a little at a time but be sure to get our SOX RECOGNIZED! You can vote here http://mlb.mlb.com/index.jsp . Would anyone else prefer Dye have 4 days off instead of playing in the ASG? He’s getting pretty old; the rest could invaluable going forward.

Dunno...

there’s a lot of ways to spend a couple days in NYC that don’t involve resting! I doubt he’d even see the field (did AJ or Pods?), so that wouldn’t even be an issue. But maybe it’s better if the ol’ creaker sat around the house for a couple days, instead of participating in all the hoopla.

CHICAGO—In a very close race, outfielder Jermaine Dye of the Chicago White Sox ranks second in the Monster All-Star Final Vote ballot, percentage points behind Tampa Bay’s Evan Longoria.
San Francisco Giants outfielder Aaron Rowand is fourth in the National League vote, trailing Milwaukee’s Corey Hart, New York’s David Wright and Philadelphia’s Pat Burrell.

Fans may vote for Dye and Rowand by visiting whitesox.com or mlb.com and also via mobile phone by texting the word “VOTE” to the number 36197. A Final Vote ballot will then be sent to the mobile phone. Fans are allowed to vote an unlimited number of times.

A record-setting 11 million votes were cast on the first day of voting. The Final Vote will close at 4 p.m. CT, Thursday July 10.
