Starting pitching IS turning around..and the possibility of a four man playoff rotation
This is my first post here at SSS, but I've been following the site for about a year now. Great news, banter, and laughs, I must say. Anyway, I was looking up the stats for our main four starting pitchers in their past two starts. Let's just say even though it is only 8 starts and a small sample size, they are getting their shit together. Here's some of the stats that came out of my Excel analysis (just basic stats, sorry guys, but I encourage you to dig in further)
ERA: 2.58
55 K/52.3 IP
WHIP: 1.15
Granted, our bullpen has sucked lately for the most part, but it is encouraging to see these numbers from our starting pitching.
I also want to raise the question of a four-man starting rotation in the playoffs (if we make it, of course) Would this be the best idea?

A four-man rotation is the only choice
There’s never a reason for any team to go to a five-man rotation in the playoffs.
I CAN'T STAND IT.

yeah there'd be a four man rotation in the playoffs...
and i’ve been doing pieces on all four starters…i’ve done danks and floyd already…they are under “the four horsemen” posts and i’ll be following up with vazquez and buehrle this week
i think it would be pretty sweet if ssh's kid and kenwo's kid had offspring together...whether you believe in nature or nurture, it wouldn’t be boring.-larry
you're right the four man is probably most common
those are great pieces you have been doing furby. it’s nice to see a balanced review of our starting pitching
