I missed the first one
but he looks the same to me as his second outing. Changing off the fastball, decent change, show-me breaking ball. He wanted to give up a couple runs there, but Seattle wouldn’t cooperate

I think it hinges on how he plays in the Spring and what the club does with Thome.
If they let Thome walk, maybe they move Swisher to a corner, Dye to 1b/dh with Paulie picking up the other, and finally let BA roam center.

well, i could understand someone wanting to give him a shot at a starting role,
but for that same reason i think the sox keep him around as 4th outfielder next year, maybe try to give him a little more time, and then, if things go well, he becomes your everyday centerfielder in 2010. his + defense is a nice bench piece for a team with a starting group like ours. imo, he’s not good enough that you have to start him, and i’m skeptical that anyone else values him highly enough that you give him away, so why not keep him?

Longtime Sox fan, new to this blog
I gotta say the Sox have been really clicking the last few games. Its just unfortunate that the Twins are sticking around. I don’t know how much more of a statement the Sox can say to the Twins to forget about catchin’ them.
