BALTIMORE - Third baseman Joe Crede was activated Monday and is in the lineup for the resumption of the April 28 suspended game. Crede hasn't played since July 22.
Crede was 2-for-16 on a rehab assignment for Triple-A Charlotte. He's hitting .255 with 17 home runs and 54 RBI in 90 games this season with the White Sox, and earned his first selection to the American League All-Star team. He has committed a career-high 19 errors at third base, but has been involved in 22 double plays, 12 off his career high in 2006 when he played 149 games.
Outfielder Dewayne Wise was placed on the 15-day disabled list to make room for Crede. Lefty Horacio Ramirez is scheduled to start the suspended game for the Sox, which resumes with the game tied 3-3 in the top of the 12th inning.
