Sox Fans, I need you help

I've recently moved from suburbia into the city, I am a lifelong die hard sox fan who has been transplanted into wrigleyville due to my job in the north suburbs. What I am looking for is a bar close to wrigley field that is a white sox bar...a place that I can watch a beer and drink a game (lol) without being bothered by people in 5 year old Alou jerseys. Any suggestions other then moving?!

and haven’t even tried to expand out for a game. my roommate and i just watch the games at home.

Little west of you. But a great bar and far enough from Wrigleyville stupidity that you can watch the Sox game in relative peace.

Nothing better to do then correct the grammar of a blog post written at 8am in the morning? You’ve obviously never even been to a bar then, so I don’t even know why you kept reading. But just for you, I’ll have my next post proof read. After that I’ll go to the bar and drink my sorrows away because some nerd made fun of my grammar, on a blog post that took me 30 seconds to write! Last time I checked this was baseball site for people to discuss their favorite team. I didn’t realize that the editor of the Harvard fucking business journal would be reading my White Sox blog, I always assumed he was a Red Sox fan. Seriously, get a life, I knew that no place on the internet was safe from nerds who just want to criticize and mock everything, rather then take posts for what they are and just respond honestly…

i've never lived in wrigleyville (and probably never would)

but i hope you realize that lincoln park is right down the street. if the problem is people in cubs jerseys, then nowhere is completely safe, but the concentration of hardcore cub paraphernalia is imminently less a half-mile to a mile south.

It is not that close to Wrigleywille, but Sedgwicks (1935 N Sedgwick St) is perfect bar for a sox fan up north. I think it is considered to be a StL Cardinal’s bar, but a lot of the staff working there are sox fans, they even have Ozzie’s picture at the bar (at least they did when I went there couple times).

Not very close to Clowntown...

but worth the trip is Bob Inn, at Fullerton and Rockwell. It’s a good, cheap Northside Sox bar.

Halligan

at 2274 N Lincoln is a SOX Bar. The guy that owns it is from the southside, and hes also got quite the eye for talent, as the bartenders are all hot chicks that are sox fans as well. Its a small place, but it is a definite sox bar.
