Punto just had an 8 pitch walk
and saw 0 strikes. The unwalkable object triumphs this time.

see rhythm is a dedicated fan
he’s holding back on seeing it (placing great mental strain upon himself) so that Dark Knight can remain number 1 even longer at the box office.
By the way, if/when you see it, I recommend shilling out the extra few bucks to see it on IMAX, it makes a difference

I think I said this right after, but at the midnight Imax premiere, the whole crowd gasped when that opening shot came on.
I squealed like a little bitch.
Also, when the batpod appears. So geeky AWESOME!

I am ashamed to say I wanted to clap when he ejected from the Batmobile.
And I even knew there was a batpod involved….just didn’t know how or when.
My favorite part – a shot that was shown in all trailers – was when the Joker was hanging out the car window and everything went silent.
Damn that was amazing.

Both times huge applause for the truck flipping sequence (even though it was in the trailers, the sound of a semi flipping over on IMAX is just geek porn).

Does anyone know why they chose Chicago over NYC?
Not that it really matters, Chicago has that great neo-classical architcture, probably moreso than NYC even, that fits the motif of Gotham City.

I thought nobody mentioned it because it was well-known.
I would hope they keep the shooting location the same for each film.
Continuity and whatnot.

In my opinion at least
Gotham in Dark Knight looks more like Chicago than Gotham in Batman Begins which coupled with how big this movie is may be what is drawing attention to Chicago being Gotham this time around.

Probably because it is more Imax-centric, so more focus is given to establishing shots and scenery in general?

not to mention that bb was mostly street level shots except for a few by the river.
dk has several shots that really have never been used in film before, plus it has a lot of day time scenes.

2008 draft update (jon mayo)
8. White Sox—Gordon Beckham: The organization feels pretty good he’ll sign, though nothing concrete has materialized as of yet.http://draft.mlblogs.com/archives/2008/08/2008_draft_update.html
